O.J. Simpson-- not a Jew! A Nov/Dec 2011 Hanukkah pre-trippie Update 11/9 pg.18

I have watched the fireworks from DTD. The view from the fountain area near HoB isn't so bad. It is real popular though.

Really? Hmmm.......

I swear if they weren't adding a little holiday segment in the WoC, I'd bag it and watch it from our villa deck. You can't see the movie segments but can totally see the water and colors and hear the music. The kids watched it nightly last year from the deck in their pjs. There is nothing like falling alseep to the WoC. :cloud9:

How is your weekend? Gabby had a game today; they tied. Made pasta with Chloe and then she fell asleep on my bed listening to MouseHouse Radio on Live 365. :cutie: I was going to do a bonfire but the skies look fairly grey and like it's going to storm.

I wonder how much of a holiday addition it is, and is it Nightmare Before Christmas? I like the idea of watching it on the deck in pjs drinking hot cocoa.

My weekend is okay. I have an extremely bad headache. Bad enough that I took a vicodin for it. I hate taking pain medicine. Hopefully it will go away.

I know how you hate pain killers. :goodvibes I hope it goes away soon.

I didn't hear it was a NBC segment. It would make sense though as they could use it during Halloween and Christmas. I love NBC too. I read about a popcorn bucket that I need to get my hands on.

Thank you. Yes, you do know my fears of addiction.

I haven't heard that but it makes total sense to me. Do you know someone who is going for Halloween? Perhaps one of them can get you the popcorn container. I would bet they will have them the whole time the HHM is running.

I just saw the cutest Mickey dressed as a ghost popcorn bucket on the Halloween thread. I. Must. Get. One.

You are smart to be weary of pain killers or any prescription drugs. :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

:welcome:

Can anyone tell me why I am doing the Blue Bayou over Napa Rose? :crazy2:

Because the Blue Bayou has that wonderful magical thing about it.

Oh I need to go look at that thread. I have seen the Jack Skellington casket one.

I know it does but I am having a hard swallowing paying that much for what seems to be subpar food. :guilty: The Napa Rose seems like such a better option but of course we'd ditch the kids for 2 hours.

I can't even look at the Jack one. I :lovestruc NBC everything!!!! I think I need a popcorn bucket category for my trip budget.

Hope you are feeling better. :goodvibes

You know I have to agree with you about putting out so much money for subpar food. It isn't that good. I prefer Cafe Orleans, they have a different menu and I enjoy it. The Napa Rose isn't for me.:confused3

I still have the headache, the vicodin didn't help so that is out. I may end up doing the unthinkable and going in for a shot.:scared1:

:welcome: Hi Mia. Glad to have you. There are plenty of cool Disney-loving people like us. My DH doesn't understand but my middle DD is a huge fan of all things Disney.

Your siggy says you are going to Aulani- it looks amazingly beautiful! And the DHL? What a fabulous trip it's going to be.

Thanks for the welcome. Yes, since we were flying over Aulani to get to Disneyland for Christmas we decided that we should put in a little detour to check it out. It does look amazing and we are all getting a little excited as it is creeping closer to going. Then back to the Disneyland Hotel to meet Santa for Christmas.

My DH was never a Disney fan, and one fateful night in 2006 when I was telling him how WE WERE taking our DD's to DL one day, he made some silly comment like - I suppose they would really love it at this age.:idea:

To the internet... :surfweb: and I worked out if I curbed my cake and coffee habit I could take us in 18 months time, hence our Nov/Dec 2007 trip. We told my parents we were going and they declared You are not taking our grandchildren to Disney without us and the rest is history...

DH cannot believe how well things are done at Disney, and was quite happy to go back. He is such a good DH.

We are planning on a Christmas Eve dinner at the Blue Bayou, I keep thinking ambience instead of great food, Napa Rose would be wonderful too! This trip I am thinking about the food more than on our previous trips. We tend to go for convenience, but this time I plan to stop and enjoy the food just a little more.

I am looking forward to hearing more about your trip.

Mia

What kind of shot do they give for migraines?

I looked at the Cafe Orleans menu too. I have the Carnation Cafe dinner PS too. I have more PS than days.

I think I might have found a solution. We may take the kids to the BB and then do NR for just DH and I. I just can't decide.

Sounds heavely. I just noticed your location. It makes sense to do as much as possible when you travel. :thumbsup2

Men. :rotfl: Will they never understand what they are agreeing to?

My DH enjoys it much more since we've had kids. Before, it was like pulling teeth. :scraed:

I agree, Disney knows how to do it and they do it well. No one entertains and creates memories like Disney.

The Blue Bayou's atmosphere cannot be beat. It truly is pure magic. Ask for a water table and wait if you need to. Waterside is super cool. :cloud9:

Lots of people don't enjoy the food at the DLR but I haven't found that to be the case. I always find plenty of good stuff to eat.

haha just wanted to say i love the title of your TR :thumbsup2

:thanks: and :welcome: I can see how some wouldn't like it but hey, they can blame Adam Sandler; it's his song.

They start with an anti-inflammatory and then they go from there. And it is always in the rear end.

That is a nice solution that way the kids don't feel left out.

Deep needle? :guilty:

I think they'd relish in the freedom. I use to feel a little guilty when DH and I go to dinner or something until Gabby told me they like the time without us. And the other two agreed. :lmao: I'm sure they'd be more than happy with a free 2 hours and a little cash.

I'm ridiculously excited!

I am debating on buying APs. The cost diff between 3 day hoppers and APs is only $725 with our DVC discount. That's for 5 APs. Seriously less than $150 pp for 350+ days. The issue is that we're going to WDW next October so the chances of going to Disneyland too are slim.

pirate: Wonder if I could bribe Chloe to go Disneyland instead of WDW. Our WDW hoppers will cost about $1,500. :faint:

Oh wow what a huge difference that is!! You could always give an up sell to Chloe about Disneyland. I am sure there is something that is a huge draw for her there.

She loves Disneyland for sure but is dying to get back to WDW. She is a huge Animal Kingdom fan. Also DHS has Rock n Roller Coaster.

I'll try. She knows WDW will be 13 days including travel; we'd never do So Cal for that long.

I want to get back to WDW too. I'm just having a hard time spending so much on measly 3 day hoppers vs the AP.

How's the headache? Did you get a shot?
