O Canada! I believed the hype...

And I was NOT disappointed!

We ate at Le Cellier for the first time, for lunch about a week ago. My DH, DD13 and I all had the Filet Mignon with Mushroom Risotto, and I am still thinking about it. The steak was super tender and the risotto so flavorful. We also tried the pretzel bread and cheese soup. What a great combination! My DD9 had the kids steak and loved that too. We had Chocolate "Moose" and Smores for dessert. All of it was outstanding. Our friends had the NY strip and loved it. They also had the sausage over polenta appetizer and gave that good marks too.

In addition to the food, the grounds of the Canadian pavilion are so beautiful, with it's gardens, pond and water fall.

Now I understand why it is so difficult to get an ADR here!

Thanks for the review. I am hoping to get a reservation for December when I call tomorrow. I ate there in 2004 but I don't remember it being that amazing and I hadn't discovered the DIS yet so I didn't know about the hype. Glad to see it lives up to its reputation!

I didn't think it was that amazing (with the exception of the mussels) but I did not order any beef.

Thanks for your review, in a little over 3 weeks we'll be dining at Le Cellier, can't wait!

I'm with TDC,
I thought it was good food, but definately not worth the headahe to try to get in there.

I'd go back for the mussels if it weren't such a pain to get in! Maybe if it happens to turn up on the online system someday.

It's funny how the food and service can have a good day and a bad day so often. However I do have to agree with some of the PP. The beef they serve is not Canadian (Yah it's poser beef) lol. We were not bowled over by the food or service and will not return. We live 60 miles from Banff National Park and get to enjoy it as often as we wish and I am used to eating our scrumptious Alberta beef... The real Canada IS awesome!

Unless you were born with the 'silver spoon', you will enjoy Le Cellier! Great steak!

I don't think the debate is that they won't enjoy the meal, I think the debate comes in on the fact that it's not so extrodinary, that you have to jump through hoops and fire to try to eat there again.

I have eaten at some of the country's best steakhouses and I still find a meal at Le Cellier to be very enjoyable, especially considering it is in a theme park.

DH and I have eaten there 4-5 times in about as many years and have never been disappointed in the food or the service.

I am not planning on jumping through any hoops to eat there again, however, I will be at least a little excited to get a ressie there in the future.

OP, I am glad you enjoyed your meal.
