NZ Dis-sers - Are you okay?

Hey NZ Dissers. I'm reading reports of another earthquake close to Wellington.

Hope you're okay in NZ.

The first thing I thought about when I heard of the earthquake was checking in on the dis to make sure everyone is ok.

All is fine up here up in the top half of the North Island.
The earthquake effected the middle of the country and from what I've heard so far there has been no serious injuries. At least I hope that is still the case - touchwood.

The worst thing is the fear it instils in people. There are many traumatised NZers from all the earthquakes of the last half decade.

I hope all is well with Australian Dis members. I saw the bushfires on the news last night. An elderly fire volunteer was talking to the media and crying at the same time - it broke my heart.

It was certainly a shock to have a big quake on our Wellington Anniversary Day holiday. One minute we were sitting down relaxing & enjoying our day off and then the next minute we were running to the doorwell! However thankfully, other than a few pictures on the wall falling off, we are all okay. Thanks for thinking of us

Relieved to hear everyone is ok, I have never experienced anything like that, it seems very scary. I didn't even realise it had all happened until I read it on here, have not had the tv or anything on this last week. Lets hope that's the worst of it for disasters for you guys this year.

What Zanzibar said - been a bit sidetracked with my own issues and not seen the news. Glad everyone is OK and it didn't cause lots of trauma.
