That stuff is bad news. It makes my heart race, the room spin, and my brain want to explode. I nearly had to call 911 the second time I took it. The first time I just thought it was because I was sick. The second time I realized it was the side effects.

I hate that stuff -- I think it's designed to just render you unconscious so that you don't know if you're sick or not. Or alive or not. Poor hubby... Hope he feels better soon!

I've been drinking it for also a week now to get some much needed sleep with this horrible cold I have!

Nyquil at night and Dayquil in the day. Works wonders for me! And no "off brands", only original will do! I swear by it!

Nyquil at night, Dayquil during the day..and last year I had an awful cold..anytime I would try to sleep..I would just cough and cough..I didn't sleep for 3 nites, seriously, finally got some Nyquil Cough..it instantly stopped the cough and I slept for almost 24 hours!

I love Nyquil! It's horrible for people who have high blood pressure so I only take it when I've just had it and really need to sleep.

I've never woken up anywhere I'm not supposed to be though...

It's also very habit forming. I once got to a point in high school were I could not go to sleep without taking it. Scary.

My wife can't take Nyquil because it makes her hyper, but I love it for when I'm sick. I sleep like a baby and sleep is an important factor in getting better.

Maybe with Nyquil you are shaking and your heart is racing, but you are so zombied out you don't realize it.

Nyquil makes me nauseous. DH swears by it, though.

Personally, I prefer 12 hour Sudafed and/or 12 hour Mucinex, depending upon my symptoms. I used to love the stuff you make into a lemony tea until they took the Sudafed out of it.

I use to love the stuff, until I was kept awake while taking it. I have never been so miserable in my life. I liked the pills better then the liquid. Hope your hubby feels better.

I only took Nyquil once, in college. I slept for 20 hours and only woke up because a friend and suitemate of mine had the RA call buildings and grounds to come unlock my door because she was worried that I had been MIA all day!

Oy! The last time I took it I woke up, in the middle of the night, hallucinating!

I took it once, it burned. I thought I was dying because my chest was burning. And it is nasty as heck, I almost chucked the last time I took it it was so foul tasting.
