I'm ready to send my 1st photo assignments! :cool1: But what size do I send?

Thanks!

I sent 8x10 photos, but they were cropped from 8x12's. The Canon 30D puts out 8x12 sized photos, so I had to crop them. However, the instructor then said that he did not want to see any cropped photos, so now I'm having 8x12s printed. I suppose this could also be 4x6 without crop, but I like the larger size.

Wow, so you actually mail them in? You dont email stuff? I guess that kinda suprised me.

Hmmmm... I'm not sure what size my camera puts out. I don't even know how to find out!

No email, but you can send them on a CD or a .zip (or a floppy:rotfl: ). I'm a purist. I want to see it printed on paper!

My first set were also 8x10 cropped from 8x12 like Andy said. When I got my review page my instructor kinda hinted he didn't want them that large so the next two sets were 5x7

I send 4x6's. They're cheap and the instructions indicate that the evaluators don't care about size.

In the instructions they say no larger than 8x10, but they say that they don't really need to be that large for the type of critique they offer. 5x7 or even 4x6 should be sufficient.

Maybe I'll go 4x6 from now on. I hate 4x6 photos though. I like them larger.
