Tell us about your jaw surgery. I think it's coming up soon? Once you have it, will that be it? And are you trying to bulk up because your jaw will be wired shut for recovery? I hope I'm not being too nosy, but I just get an big OUCH feeling when I think of jaw surgery!

The surgery is correct my overbite and crooked jaw. It was scheduled for July 29th and I had arranged vacation around that date, then of course I was rescheduled for August 8th, the last day of my vacation. I own a kitchen countertop shop which my father and uncle founded 28 years ago, and for all of those 28 years we have shut down for vacation the last week in July and the first week in August. This year a month before vacation because of my surgery it was necessary to change vacation dates for eleven other people and their families (they all were very understanding, but I felt bad about it).

I go for my pre-surgery appointment on Wednesday so I will get all of the details then. From what I read and was told so far I will be in the hospital 4 days, and a month or so healing up. They use elastics to hold your mouth shut now instead of hard wires, for the first week or two they use fairly rigid ones, after that you can take them off to eat soft foods.

This all seemed like a great idea 2 years ago, now I will just be glad when it's over and done with. The reality of it all hit me last week when I went to the orthodontist and they put the hooks on my braces to attach the elastics to.

Owen will be at church camp for the first week of my recovery, so he won't have to watch his Daddy recover (aka cry like a little girl), but oh you guys should pitty Nurse Claudia.

The hospital called this morning to adjust my appointment for Wednesday, I requested a roast beef gravy I.V. for after the surgery. I'm fairly sure they will be letting me out of the hospital early just to get rid of me.

Artman, just think, by cruise time you'll have a perfect new jaw. And you'll have lots of exercise for that new jaw with all the chatting we're all gong to be doing! We'll be thinking of you on surgery day.

Hey everyone.. I am back!! OMG.. had a great time. That new Toy Story Mania ride was FANTASTIC and is my NEW favorite ride in Disney.. We rode it 4 times, but really, I could have gone on it all day long. skipped over everything else.. lol

The south america tour groups were brutal.. we saw several girls (teens) knock over a toddler, and they LAUGHED about it.. then we were in line to go back to SSR and the woman in line was telling us how she had to yell at a group of other girls that knocked her toddler over.. 2 SEPERATE incidents.. HELLO!

This is going to sound bad.. I know.. But I really dispise those groups from south of the border. We purposely went in the opposite direction each time we saw a group...

Went to the AC one last time. LOVED IT like normal. Cant understand why they are getting rid of this great place. Brian, a newbie to this club, LOVED IT!!!!

I am fairly confident everyone here is a good sport, so here is a cute joke I just read.


Husband and wife are getting all snugly in bed. The passion is heating up.

But then the wife stops and says, "I don' t feel like it. I just want you to hold me."

The husband says " WHAT???" The wife explains that he must not be in tune with her emotional needs as a woman.

The husband realizes that nothing is going to happen tonight and he might as well deal with it.

So the next day the husband takes her shopping at a big dept. store. He walks around and had her try on three very expensive outfits. And then tells his wife, We 'll take all three of them. Then goes over and gets matching shoes worth $200 each.

And then goes to the jewelry Dept. and gets a set of diamond earrings. The wife is so excited (she thinks her husband has flipped out, but she does not care). She goes for the tennis bracelet.

The husband says "but you don 't even play tennis, but OK if you like it then lets get it.'

The wife is jumping up and down. So excited she cannot even believe what is going on. She says " I am ready to go, lets go to the cash register. "

The husband says, " no no no, honey we're not going to buy all this stuff." The wife face goes blank.

" No honey - I just want you to HOLD this stuff for a while."

Her face gets really red she is about to explode and then the husband says " You must not be in tune with my financial needs as a MAN!"

OMG artman.. that is a riot. I had read that one before on one of those chain emails.. I think its a riot!!!

My highest score was 159,500. That was the on the third ride.. and I actually beat Brian on that one ride. He, of course, beat me on all the others!! lol I won the kitty cat prize for that score!

Did Claudia ride that one when she was there? what was her highest score?

How does Toy Story Mania compare to the Buzz Lightyear ride?

I know what you mean about those South Amercan tour groups. I've learned a few choice words in Portuguese so I can tell them off if they try to get in my space. Works like a charm.

Chad (he's Wick here on the Dis) just called and said he and Louise were at CityWalkin Universal, waiting for their room to be ready. They just saw The Dark Knight at the movie theater there, and he said it was awesome. He said Heath Ledger was so outstandng, it made him feel sad that this guy had so much talent, and now we'll never get to see more of him. The movie as a whole was A Plus.

I told Chad to request Tower 1 at the Royal Pacific with a Hulk view, and they got room 1422, so that means Tower 1, 4th floor, room 22. I'm going to check out the resort map to see exactly where it is. It's very hot/humid down there, crowded, but they're not sweating it due to the front-of-the-line access they have!

The Toy Story Mania leaves Buzz in the dust. Quite honestly, its easier to see what you are aiming at and what you hit. Whether or not you are close and more importantly, who is hitting what. You get a color different than that of the person you are with.. and so you can tell if your aim is right or off.

Question: does anyone remember the drinking water situation on the ship? I mean, are there drinking fountains with good water? I don't remember drinking any water on our last cruise, and I'm wondering if I need to pre-order the case of bottled water. I've been doing so well with my diet, drinking water everyday, and I think by cruise time, my body will be used to/need a good amount of water everyday. Mel and Chad drink a lot of water, and I'm trying to get Jesse to drink more, too. Any advice?

I don't remember drinking fountains. The water was drinkable, but we did buy some in Orlando, prior to boarding. That seemed to be enough for the week. If you are drinking a lot, it will be much cheaper to bring your own onboard instead of buying it on the boat.
