If she needs an apprentice I know an 8 yo boy that would love to tackle a project like that.

Boy Power!

I'm printing out that picture, and bringing it with me on the cruise!

I can just see it now, Kara standing on her chair because the "sculpture" is nearly to the ceiling and Owen running around the dining room "collecting" forks. :rotfl2:

This may be our last Disney cruise.......Ya dock crew this is the bridge, that large group that makes all the trouble at dinner every night, they are still ashore ......... pull up the gang plank we are ditching them.

That would be AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our group will be the hit of the dinning circuit!

Sadly, I can see Kara doing that too

She sooooooo loves a challenge

I had to 'remind' her to play nice with the incoming freshmen for band today - she just smiled her little evil grin that she has

To everyone who is linked for dinner, I sent you a PM.

I got a call from DCL saying that new security measures require each booking to call their travel agent to confirm that they want to be linked. I sent you my resservation # and last name, so I hope you call when you get a chance to give your approval to the linking.

Nan, did happen when you all linked? It didn't when we linked in 2005.

I'm just grateful they did this now, instead of giving us trouble when we show up for dinner! I was surprised that at over 5 months away, DCL is looking at reservations. Maybe they're doing the seating chart already! I did request Lumiere for formal night.

An amendment to the post with the 105 days, 90 days out ressie booking power.

I called and had the REAS tacked on to my package.. I asked to just confirm that I can book on 9/28.. I was corrected that I can book on 9/13 at midnight.. that is the 105 day mark, 9/28 is the 90 day mark and 10/15 is the 75 day mark.

I am so glad I asked to confirm that w/her. Also, that at midnight, EST on the morning of the 13th I can go online w/the ressie number and book away. I now have a plan. I will go to my mom's on that Friday night and stay til 12:15 AM.. I will book my stuff then leave. Mom will be ok w/that I am sure!

I was told to have it paid off by 11:55pm on 9/12. So.. will call that day and have it put on my Disney Visa card.. HELLO points!! and have 6 mths free financing on that. PERFECT!

So.. it was requested that I share the details of the upcoming WDW trip.. here it goes.

Friday: (LONG DAY!)
Fly out of Boston at 7:20am on Delta.. arrive at MCO at 10:20am .. catching the Magical Express to Saratoga Springs Resort. Dropping the bags and heading to the Animal Kingdom.

Animal Kingdom.. we would like to do Expedition Everest, the Safari and Dinosaur. We plan on getting the Yak & Yeti window (we are on the DDP) CS meal for lunch. Once we do all these rides, and possibly more.. its back to SSR.

We are going to take a quick break in the room to get the bags and what not now that the room is hopefully ready!!! perhaps a quick dip in the pool..

Once refreshed... its off to MK for the magical evening hours. We plan on doing CS here as well.. I am leaning toward Columbia House (love the hummus sandwich:lovestruc ) but Brian wants to try the Terrace Noodle CS if its open (we have yet to see it open.. and have been there at the height of August).. we would like to get on Buzz Lightyear, the Jungle Cruise, Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain.. OH.. and Philharmagic (we LOVE :lovestruc this 4d show)..

Saturday: (slightly shorter day!)
We want to get to MGM (yes.. it will forever be MGM to me!) before it opens.. hopefully by 830am.. We plan on going directly to Toy Story Mania, grabbing fast passes for the ride, then hopping in the standby line... once we do that we also want to ride, rock n'rollercoaster, Tower of Terror and hit up the animation class at the Animation attraction (so lacking since they got rid of the animators working there) Lunch time we have ressies' at Sci Fi.. Brian has never tried this and is DYING to.. We also want to take in the new MGM parade..

After the parade, we plan on jumping a ferry to Epcot, where we will try and get on Spaceship Earth.. we love the new ending and have now found out where to go to get that pic.. lol.. and possibly the single rider lines for Test Track and Mission Space (MS for Brian ONLY).. Also the Mexico & Norway rides.. We have a dinner ressie at the Biergarten.. and then want to try a Grand Marnier slushy in France (we saw this on Samantha Brown's Disney Favs which has been airing on the Travel Channel). After this, we plan on heading back to the hotel and possibly taking a dip in the pool then going to bed.

Sunday:

The plan is to sleep in a bit today.. then head to Typhoon Lagoon for some fun in the sun.. we will return when we get tired of the lazy man river (yeah right.. like that would EVER happen!!!)

Sunday night, we have dinner ressie's at Narcoisse.. I have set up the time to hopefully coincide w/the electrical water pagent.. loved this as a child.. love it as an adult. We also hope to catch the MK fireworks from the GF resort area. After we have seen those two items and have eaten a fabulous dinner we plan on jumping the bus to DTD where we will spend the rest of the evening at the Adventurer's Club.. possibly jumping over to the Comedy Warehouse for a show..

Monday:
Check into the airlines get rid of our checked luggage and store the carryons w/SSR... Then we are heading back to MGM for some more animation, toy story mania, possibly the Great Movie Ride and then Lunch at the 50's Prime Time Cafe. Our flight isnt til 7pm, so we wont have to be at the resort and waiting for the magical express until 4pm... YEAH US!

but Brian wants to try the Terrace Noodle CS if its open (we have yet to see it open.. and have been there at the height of August)..

Lunch time we have ressies' at Sci Fi.. Brian has never tried this and is DYING to..
YEAH US!

Yeah what is it with Terrace Noodle?? It's always closed when we're there, but open when every one else is there!

Sci-Fi is sooooooooo cool. We love it. The food is good with huge portions, and the atmosphere is crazy real like being in a drive-in at night.

For Biergarten, I hope the oom pa pa band is there for your meal. We've never experienced it, but that's on my list.

Great details, Kelly, even down to the froo froo drinkie!:thumbsup2

Hi Magic Mateys,

I just got a call back from my TA and we are linked. She said that DCL shows us as a large group of 10 cabins. :dance3: What fun we will have!

I started my diet last week and lost 4lbs. :woohoo: I know that I'll lose more the first couple of weeks and then it will be slow. However, if I would just get my behind off the couch, it might come off faster. :rotfl:

I'm sorry to say (but not really), that Aaron will definatly not be joining us on the cruise. He is back to his old BS and I'm not dealing with that when I haven't had a vacation in a year.

Hey everyone..

Cadznychk - If you can book 105 days out (you must be in a cat 1, 2 or 3 OR you book the REAS package) then its 9/28... If you are a castaway club member then you can book at I think its either 10/12 or 10/13.. I would call and ask them specifically which day for 90 out.

Artman- the REAS costs $359 total.. that includes:

2 DCL robes, Champagne and Chocolates upon arrival to your stateroom
Palo dinner for 2 and a bottle of wine
making ressies 105 days before the cruise
Rainforest pass for 2 for the length of the cruise
champagne breakfast in your room the morning of your choice (just not the last one)
romantic turndown service the night of your choice
and I was told a voucher for an 8x10 from Shutters.

All you have to do is call DCL and have them add it to your ressie.. then the whole cruise and REAS cost must be paid prior to the 105 days before in order to use that feature!!!

Oh.. and Brian is now totally excited about the FE!!! he is totally in to it now, wants to pick out presents and wants to design the FE look for our room!!! Was very upset when I told him how we would have to zip tie it down to the fish, due to thefts..
since DH will NOT ever go with me...how the heck am i ever going to experience REAS????? uggghhhhhh

Sounds like a necessary decision Deb...

Adrian is actually looking into joining the Coast Guard, Brian have any advice for the lad?

Your trip sounds awesome, great planning details~

I just found this on Bella Notte's MySpace...testing to see if it shows...

:rotfl: But if I look at him too long, I get creeped out!

since DH will NOT ever go with me...how the heck am i ever going to experience REAS????? uggghhhhhh

Don't feel bad; Mel's going with me, but I'm STILL not going to experience REAS!
Anyway, doesn't it stand for Really Expensive Towel Swans? Ok, that's RETS, lemme think...

Since all of that can be booked without doing REAS, maybe you could pick a few things off the list and do them anyway...Like the week long pass to the Rain Forest...and the champagne breakfast..I would~

Yes Aisling, it's late again. I just finished updating my staff for the event this weekend...

Good night mAgic Mateys~

nope

Aisling, the noodle terrace is technically behind the Monsters Laugh Factory.. Its that giant open aired CS area that you pass through if heading from Main Street down the path past the Plaza to get to Tomorrow Land. It used to be just a burger place when I was a kid. I have been in August, October and January.. and have YET to see that place open.. Lets see if July does the charm ;)

I have been to the sci fi w/my mom and aunt on 1 trip, and a gf on another. I think that he will totally enjoy it. He loves how the San Angel Inn looks like its outside. I am going to request a car for sure!! even if we are sharing w/another party of 2!!

Tigg.. Brian totally recommends the Coast Guard. He has been in now for 13 yrs. He is a career enlisted. He has had great billets that have included Key West FL, Hawaii, Newport RI and the Eagle (America's Tall Ship).. he is currently waiting to hear if he has made Chief. Hopefully we know by the time we cruise in Dec. He chose the Coast Guard because it was the only military branch that has a peace time mission, and that was important to him. Brian is a BM1, which is a Boatswain's Mate 1st class. The BM's drive the boats that you see in the harbor. They also have rates for people to be cooks, engineers and administrative types.. He is eligible to retire after 20 yrs in, but will probably wait til his twins are emancipated and CS has stopped, since I will NOT be paying CS for children I had no part of bearing.. (She reminds me of this EVERY chance she gets.. like I forgot and think that I possibly had them!!!)

Cadzny, who are you going with??? Anyone over the age of 18?? perhaps you could still get the package.. it doesnt have to be romantic.. so that you can get the perks AND get to book the ressie's and excursions out earlier. I say over 18, so that you have someone to take to dinner w/you to Palo.

NOW.. for the cruise.. Tigg, Which Ruin's tour are you doing? What time do you think they are going to have us back to the ship? I was thinking that I might want someone to do my hair at the Salon, but if the tour runs long, I dont see how I can do both. It says 7 - 7.5 hrs.. but doesnt say what time it starts at!!!

Grand Cayman.. what is everyone doing there?

Oh.. Almost forgot to mention. Went and got weighed in at WW last night 5lbs down!!! WOO HOO.. only 35 more to go!!! (that isnt my ultimate goal, but it is my goal for the cruise!!)

First my wife now you, you people are killing me.

Hope you have a great time and great weather.
and i just get a short weekend trip to Disneyland:thumbsup2

If she needs an apprentice I know an 8 yo boy that would love to tackle a project like that.
and a 17 y/o almost enrolled in some engineering CA college to tell them all how to do it!

Oh Deb...that's too bad - i just can't even imagine what that must be like - but hey good for you - you definitely deserve some YOU time & a DCL vaca is the RIGHT place for that!
Don't feel bad; Mel's going with me, but I'm STILL not going to experience REAS!
Anyway, doesn't it stand for Really Expensive Towel Swans? Ok, that's RETS, lemme think...
yeah you got a GOOD POINT there!!!! :lmao:

Grand Cayman.. what is everyone doing there?
I'm going with my son (17) and friends Rus & Chel....Chel & i are already having 'cabana massages" at CC....and with all my MM friends on board....i have plenty of Palo companions for sure!
DH just won't cruise - so he's the one really missing out!!!

Grand Cayman - Chel & I are shopping!
