NYE Western Cruise 2008 - New Thread

Hi all....just finished our 15 mile walk for today - so a quick hi & then i need to go pack for San Luis Obispo for the campus tour of Cal Poly....i am taking my laptop but not sure how much i'll have to 'get on'...so if i dont pop back in this wkend - have a good one!!

I was listening to a podcast today "Inside the magic" About disney world. they were discussing about the Adventurers Club. Well, one of the topics was there is a podcast about Disney Cruise Line on ITUNES. so, naturally I have to check it out.
I'm watching the sailaway party right now. The podcasts are short - about 4 - 6 minutes. It has to be recent the big screen on deck is there. now they are showing the pirates party.

Late night for me. Jesse and his friends are at the massive free Bon Jovi concert in Central Park. When Mel amd I were newly married, we lived in a building across the street from the park, on the 16th floor, and from our window we could see Elton John's free concert on the Great Lawn. It was really cool.

Tomorrow I'm planning nice lazy day at home. Church at 10, and then playing with my Creative Memories software. I already cooked for tomorrow, did all the laundry, so I'm a day ahead. One thing I have to do is schedule a doctor's appt to check out a spot on my forearm. I'm usually very strict about always using sunblock since I'm so fair-skinned, but this spot is worrying me. I keep telling myself that if it's skin cancer, they'll just cut it out, and I'll be fine.

We will have nothing left to talk about on the cruise. I can see us all just sitting looking at each other, our spouses saying to us "I thought you said these people were interesting and cool"

I've been lurking....we did the bbq thing all day yesterday and the family thing all day today...I've made notes on the decals, and am very curious what Miss Aisling is up to now

Moi? LOL well I love planning for the cruise, especially when I have an idea for a little fun for a lovely couple from Nova Scotia!
Don't worry, Artman and Claudia, nothing devious, just a funny bone tickler, and hopefully no rashes!

So I'm sitting in my car Dising now, waiting fo the coast to clear, as I just called the cops on my neighbors, their professional DJ machine, and their million punk guests congregating on the steps of my house, both front and back deck. Now Tig, you've seen how tiny my backyard is and how close together the houses are..these parties have been a thrice weekly occurrence for too long, and I've had enough. They don't respond to polite asking, so I'll let the cops handle it. I'mup the block watching. When the police car leaves, I'll go home. I'm not scared of the neighbors, but just want to avoid being part of the action!

I have a doctor's appt tomorrow to check out the spot on my arm. I googled skin cancer, and it doesn't look like any of the pictures...it's probably an age spot. I'm getting old!

Look at Speed Racer! Wow, Nan, I'm glad he's still racing; I know how much he enjoys it! Gee he looks so cute all bundled up like that in his safety gear!

Nan, one day we'll get together again, with Grim and Dede, too, just like old times. We're friends forever! Grim, you out there? We're due for a Piper 4th of July picture!

Did you get rid of the wayward NC car from out front yet?

My mother was obsessed with getting rid of that car. She called the 311 number (for NYC non-emergencies) the day you were here, and the car was towed away!!

I'm home now, the neighbors are cleaning up their mess, and no one said a word to me as I went into my house. I decided if they were still by my deck in the back, I was going to take out my garden hose to do some watering of my hydrangia bushes right near them!

I'm not even gonna remind you that that is why I am happier having my neighbors a little farther away from me than yours are. Fighting for parking, random people in the neighborhood, people literally attached to the side of me..uh uh, no thank you.

Even saying that I can tell you I've left outside lights on on purpose and watered the lawn in the middle of the night just to keep my neighbor's kids a little farther away from my house when they'd have visitors til all hours of the night.

That would be the neighbor who helped you with your laptop.

Her Tiffany is the one who had all the kids over.
