Any corrections, etc. just pm or send me an email. I won't get to updating it till after we get back from vacation. We leave May 1st and we are still packing but I think we are close to being done (hopefully). Just so many other things going on to as tonight we had Kindergarten night for Sydney (she starts in the fall) then tomorrow she has piano and husband/her have haircuts and then Wednesday she has gym (no I am not one of those pyscho moms that puts her in everything its just she really likes gym and piano).

If I don't talk to you folks before my vacation take care. I will try and get on sometime after vacation but I'm sure you all know how that is.....

Sad news to tell. Mel's oldest brother George passed away suddenly with a heart attack today in the Philippines. He was 59 years old with two children and 3 grandchildren. Mel's taking it ok, as he han't see his brother in 30 years, but it's still a shock. His 86 year old mother is taking it very very hard, but his 88 year old father's mind is gone and doesn't understand what's going on. It's ironic that last year the old father was on his deathbed, but has been hanging on, and his firstborn son surprises everyone and dies. Mel will not be going to the funeral, he said he can't handle it. He's worried about his own health and mortality now, as heart issues run in his family, so he took off to the gym to work out. I tried to reassure him that he's healthy, very active and fit. His brother was a chain smoker for his whole adult life, as well as a severe alcoholic, and a very depressed angry man in his personality. At least he's at peace now, as he never was happy during his life. Rest in peace, Georgie...

Sad to hear the news of Mel's brother, Aisling! I'm sorry Mel is anxious about his own mortality - it's only natural but hopefully he'll be able to work thro' that...

...Just wanted to share. It put things in perspective for me today, as this morning I found out that some Disers who are angry about being banned have been lying about me and bashing me, even sending me nasty emails because I support the Dis. It made me so angry, especially being lied about, and I was ready to lash out at them...again.

But after this happened to George, it made me realize that the Dis crap that's happening is so unimportant, and I have linked myself only to the cruise board, separating myself from the rest of the Dis. I don't want to be a part of all that mess, and I have moved to a new board where so far the people are nice and not into fighting, lying, and bashing others. But I'm still here on our thread.

Life is too short to spend it on negativity and anger. I choose love and warmth.

So my friends, thanks for being good people. I luv you all.

As for forum bullies, I know how that goes!!! I used to belong to another forum (Shopping TV rather than Disney-orientated) and it became hellish after a while - woe betide you if you even vaguely disagreed with the inner 'clique' of members. Anyway, I had some really horrible moments so quit. The sad truth is that cyberspace makes it possible for a crazy amount of bullying and abuse to occur. It seems some 'friends without faces' aren't so friendly after all but just live to cause trouble!

I hope you find a happier WWW "home"...

Brenda, did Ryan get the new xbox Grand Theft Auto that came out last night? I got 2, one for both of my kids, and Cory got one, so they can all play "live" together. I'm PMing you Chad's email, as he and Jesse would like you to pass it on to Ryan so the boys can plan a time to play online together. Jesse's as bad as I am with never checking his emails (he's into IMs LOL), so Chad stepped up to get a game going!

i knew it was coming out...but didn't know it was yesterday...i guess i better go it for the boy...I will pass Chad's email onto Ryan & i'll PM you back with Ryan's yahoo address & his IM address too....

I'm up late tonight, sleepy but restless. I wish our tax refund comes soon, as that will pay off a load of cc bills. The stimulus rebate will help, too, with $1500 plus $300 for each minor child. That will pay our airfare for our next cruise after this one. Anyone wanna do a repo next year?? We need to get our 2005 gang all back together!! If you guys say yes, I'll be the first to put in the new ticker.

The kids never met him, so there wasn't much of a reaction. Even Mel hasn't seen him since he left the Philippines as a kid, so Mel's ok with it. He just doesn't want to be next, as heart issues run in his family. But Mel's healthy, takes good care of himself.

This years repo was impossible, really. The money just wasn't/isn't there.

when / where is next year's repo? Chel & I are definitely planning on one of the maiden voyages from Germany on the new ship, but i'll need another cruise fix before then I'm SURE!!!!

well you got me all wishful too - so i went & checked what's out there....no repos (sure they won't take the magic to CA 2 yrs in a row)....so started looking at the eastern with Tortola....Kaz is doing that one in Aug...but not sure that will fit into our schedule so may have to look at a Dec '-09date again....or early '10

again, my thinking is it'll be an excuse to go to California, still take a cruise, get extra days for porbably the same price I'd be paying for the new year's cruise.

Nan, is it around the same price or alot higher to do the repo?
