Good afternoon Magic Mateys,
Kelly, how are you doing on your diet? I've been going to the gym every day, and really working hard. I've never sweated so much in my whole life. The trainer won't let me weigh myself...he says to judge my results by the way my clothes fit, and he promises if I keep it up, I'll notice my clothes being loose after 4 weeks. I HATE going, but once I'm there, I'm focused and actually enjoy it. But it's hard. I tried the Pilates class, but I'm just not strong enough yet to feel like I'm getting anything out of it. The bellydancing class is wonderful, I really feel my abs getting tighter because of it, so when all the tummy fat is gone, I'll hopefully have some decent ab muscles under it all, even though my tummy muscles are shot after a
huge pregnancy belly and C-section with Jesse. I'm also doing a low carb diet, eating lopts of fish and huge salads, which I love. AND I've learned a trick to help with my night time sweet tooth...I bought chewable multivitamins that are shaped like cubes and taste like chocolate, 0 calories, 1 carb each, so I've made a habit of taking it at night to curb my temptation to have a cookie or whatever. And it really, truly helps! So let's keep it up, and let me know how you're doing!
Busy week for me...today a meeting for catechism teachers, we start classes soon and I'll have 5th grade again. I LOVE that age group. Then tomorrow Louise is having a jewelry party, then right after that I'm going to a free concert in the park to see Liza Minnelli. Then Friday I'm going upstate to pick up my 13 year old niece Chloe...she's staying with me for two weeks while my sister and my other sister's husband take a trip to Thailand. (They're travel partners, been all over Europe together. My other sis, his wife, doesn't like to travel.) I'm going to introduce Chloe to Jesse's modeling agent, because she wants to be in show business, but I don't know how that'll work out since she lives 8 hours out of the city.
So my friends, thanks for reading about what's been going on in my life.
