NYE - Staying Offsite

We will be staying at Bonnet Creek and plan to spend NYE in Epcot. I was thinking we would have the best bet at a quick exit by parking at DHS, but wanted to get opinions from those with more experience.

Interesting idea. Not sure anything will be quick on NYE, but quicker might work. Let us know how it goes if you really do this.

Although we have never done it, others report walking to DHS from Epcot after NYE fireworks is a quicker exit option when taking buses. I imagine that would be an advantage as well for those driving?

I'd say it can't hurt. You may not save time, but it likely won't add time. We stayed onsite on NYE 2015/16, and not only were the lines for the buses crazy, but traffic all around the whole WDW resort. Could have been traffic leaving EPCOT specifically, but it was 2 AM so I wasn't really paying attention.
