We have 5:30 dinner reservations at an upscale restaurant here in town so I assume I will be at home in my PJs on the couch by about 8pm.

My parents, in-laws, a family friend and DD18’s BF are coming over for some food and drinks. DD and I will end up playing a competitive game of Disney’s Scene It which is always fun

Staying home and binging this season’s Great British Baking Show while wearing my pjs. I may order something delicious for dinner then I’ll try to go to sleep. I live in an apartment complex and NYE is on Friday so sleep isn’t at all certain this weekend,
New Year’s Day will be the Rose Bowl Parade in the morning and the Vienna Philharmonic NYD concert that night.

As of now dinner at a fancy restaurant (not my thing) with Bil, Sil and another couple. Agreed to go before current round of covid. Secretly hoping it gets canceled but dh hasn’t seen family in awhile so I won’t back out. I think the dinner is something like 8 until around 1030. That’s quite late for me lol.

We don't do "Amateur Night," but our NYE just got a LOT better.

DD was planning to go to her boyfriend's house for NYE with his family, but they have a couple of relatives visiting...and one of them tested positive today. So Girlie will be home with Mom and Dad for New Years!

We'll be having Stone Crabs and champagne; she'll have salmon and Boba, lol.

We've been partying here for 10 days. There will be a pick-up football game in the cul-de-sac and a BBQ. Super homespun and casual. Hope to be in bed by 9:30 pm, after a NYC time zone toast with hubby. Starting a new Peloton challenge in 2022 and need my rest to keep up with the young whippersnappers.

Excellent exercise regime advice in the Meme's thread, although two weeks seems like a bit much...

We were thinking of going out to a firehall party but then it got cancelled.
We'll be hanging out at home like we did last year.
Probably ordering pizza and having a drink or two.
Nice thing about not paying to go out is we don't feel like we need to get our money's worth of alcohol.
It was a great feeling to wake up on the first day of the year in 2021 feeling good and ready to go.

We used to be the New Year's Eve house where all our friends would gather. We have 2 decades at least of those memories. Alas, this will be our second year of just our little family for New Year's. I probably won't even make it to midnight.

My fam was gonna have dinner with our family friends, but with the huge viral breakout and the beautiful weather (that will then be rain at night), we're gonna shorten our visit (no dinner) and take it outside...so still keeping the plans, but reducing them...

They will most likely be gone long before midnight, but we’ll stay up and watch the happenings on tv.

If I can be serious for just one moment, I'd encourage everyone to be careful. Omnicron is just exploding, and it's just getting started.

Florida had almost 47,000 cases Tuesday (most cases in one day since the beginning of the pandemic -- by 10,000!) and New York had more than 67,000!

Those are just crazy numbers -- we were having less than 2,000 per day a week ago. Be careful out there.

Party the night away on a cruise!

Leaving for the airport in about an hour.

Well, someone decided they were too important to wear a mask. Just had a fist fight with the flight attendants and police.

Hope we are not delayed for too long.

honestly, its like some folks don't seem to have been living in the same world as the rest of us over the past 2 years!

We usually have no plans, but our family Christmas meal has been postponed till Friday, so at the moment that is what we are doing...although I think youngest has just tested positive so that might throw a wrench in those plans. Either way, I plan on being in bed by 10 if not before, I just find it hard to stay up late - it's not fun for me. I did pick up a bottle of champagne today though-I'm not one to give up a opportunity to enjoy champagne!

The delay was surprisingly short.

She ran from the back to the front to confront the flight attendant. At that point the fight broke out and the police showed up as they had already been called.

A flight attendant ran back to her seat and gathered up her belongings took them to the front and the door was closed.

Took off about 50 mins late.
