Ok so planning for next year 2020. Figured this would give me plenty of time to come up with a good plan

I know it’s crazy crowded so wondering how doable this is for NYE.

I know both MK and Epcot do 2 firework
Shows. Was thinking head to Epcot around 4 for early fireworks which I think is 6:30

Then hop the monorail to MK and book the dessert party for the late fireworks

Can this be done or not gonna happen?

Thanks

Epcot only does the “big” show for the late show. The early show is just regular fireworks (which by that point next year should be HarmoniUS).

If you’re intent on doing both parks in one evening, I’d do MK first then go to Epcot. Be prepared for large crowds at both parks and for the journey to take (much) longer than you expect. In my opinion.

Personally, I’d rather pick one park and ride it out.

Will you be there for 12/30 as well? MK does special fireworks early and late on 12/30 as well, so many will do MK on 12/30 and Epcot on 12/31.

Thanks for the info.

Plan is to go from 12/23 to 1/2. Yeah I would only see the normal at Epcot but was doing it more for the experience for seeing 2 fireworks in Disney on NYE. Kind of like going to Times Square just something cool to do once in your life

Was doing Epcot 1st because will have two daughters 11 and 16 and thinking Epcot may get a little rowdier then I would want for them. If it was just me and my wife would be all for it. Plus we would be staying at Bay Lake Tower and would do the dessert party at MK. Thought this way not worried about battling crowds for a good spot for BIG fireworks and can walk back to our room after. No waiting in insane lines to board monorail.

It sounds like a good plan to me! :)

Ahh, got it. So ignore everything I said above. Sounds like you have a handle on things and what will work best for your crew.

Enjoy 12/31 at WDW.

Seems like a good plan based on your family.
As mentioned, leave plenty of time for travel between the parks. With the crowds, travel will take much longer.
Enjoy!
