We had a blast of a trip. Everything (or almost everything) went smooth...We showed up to the Magic Express place and waited a very short time for the bus to the resort...got checked into our room before chceck in time...dropped off our carry ons, changed into shorts and set off to see IF we could get into MK...WE DID! We caught the tail end of the afternoon parade. The crowds were nuts, but we walked around and went on Alladin's Magic Carpet ride. (shortest line up) Got a bite to eat....and enjoyed the Wishes show (despite the very tall spanish guy who felt the need to stand in front of my 6 year old...Grrr) Every day after that was a lot of fun...we rode everything we wanted more than once. Jan. 1st: we walked onto Splash and rode it twice without getting off the boat. DS's fav. was Space Mountain. We had fun at all of the parks, the resort...everything. We even learned to push back a little when others are rudely pushing you. All of us want to go back. The only issue we had...and it was a learning experience for next time....was the baggage check-in service & Magic Express back to the airport. We went to check in at the resort and they were able to print our boarding passes, but something with Delta wouldn't let them print the tags for the suitcases, so we had to bring them with us. It was marathon weekend....but we were to be picked up over 3 hours before our flight...so...we were there on time, the bus was a bit late...still thought we would be OK...but then they went to 3 more resorts and terminal A before dropping us off, where we now only had about an hour or so before the flight...and a long line at Delta's check in, long line at security with nasty people working there, thought we would be able to eat lunch at the airport before the flight (that didn't happen). By the time we got through security I was in a panic because our flight was boarding. Next time...I will find another way to the airport. It is not that far away that 3 hours is not enough time to get to a flight without having to run. All in all it was a magical trip...just wish we had been able to have lunch before 5 pm in Detroit...(where we only had an hour between flights and a long run between gates)...Part of my learning is to fly with someone other than Delta.
