To anyone planning on staying at HH this NYE, they have just released 12-31 for members at a discount. The price for a 2 BR is $123.75.

I had been tracking this for some time, as 1-1-05 was released for cash but NOT 12-31. Since 12-31 and 1-1 are FRI-SAT this year, I was able to save substantially on my points.

If anyone is interested in saving points for this time period, you might want to check it out.

this may sound like a silly question, but since I wouldn't be using points, do I still book the whole weekend through MS?

Yes, you still go through MS. One of the benefits of doing this is that they will hold your reservation with a credit card number rather than requiring a down payment, as CRO requires. You should also ask them to link the cash reservation with the points reservation.
