Hi all! We just got back from a great trip eight night trip to WDW for New Year's. We drove down from NJ and even with some bad GA traffic and two Cracker Barrel stops, made it down in just under 18 hours. Our two daughters, ages 11 and 7, were very good...thank God!
Here's the bad parts of the trip: CROWDS (it was packed); seagulls at BW and Epcot...very annoying and aggressive; limited reservations available anywhere for dining, etc. due to crowds.
Here's the good parts of the trip which far outweigh the bad: we checked in at 9:00 a.m. and our room was ready! And what a room...overlooked the BW from surrey rentals up until Epcot walk, the Epcot ball and fireworks...loved it! The WEATHER...who cared about the crowds cause we stayed in the pool, went for long walks around the beautiful BW/BC/YC area ...75-80 and sunny every day, not one drop of rain. PEOPLE...met some great folks from all over by the pool and had some great chats....our favorite was a little "chum" for our daughter...7 year old Courtney from Scotland whose family are DVCers and DISers as well. And finally, can't be in Disney without mentioning food...the BLUEBERRY stuffed French Toast at the Yacht Club Galley.
Am already planning our next trip for the fall and cannot wait!
