NYE at OKW

Does anyone know if the DVC resorts, specifically OKW, have special activities on NYE? If so, do they last until midnight? My original plan was to spend NYE at DHS, but I'd like a backup plan in case we decide we'd rather spend NYE outside a park. We are used to being in the parks when they are very crowded since we normally travel during school breaks, but I'm still not completely sure I want to keep my kids out that late for midnight fireworks. Thanks for any info!

We've been staying at OKW over NYE several times, and I can't answer your question, because we have always spent NYE in Epcot! We love NYE at Epcot!

i am not sure about OKW, sorry. boardwalk usually has a dance party, drink stations set up to buy wine/champagne/beer. not super crowded and you can see fireworks at epcot. we are staying at saratoga, wait-listed at boardwalk just for the night. have fun!!!

we'll be there....for one night. My wife had so much fun there with our son several years ago that I booked one night of our 11 night stay here. They did stay open and full of activities past midnight and the pool bar was open as well, great bartenders and you will find me paked there as well. Vince

Thank you, everyone, for the information. I think we will head to DHS for our dinner reservation, then play it by ear for the rest of the night. I will ask about NYE activities when we check in at OKW, but glad to know they have had fun activities in the past in case we decide to leave DHS.

My husband and I stayed at OKW last year and we checked in on NYE. We had dinner at Olivia's. If I remember correctly they were setting up for a party by the community hall. We really thought about hitting a park that night for some fireworks, but we had been travelling all day and were very tired, so we were in bed well before midnight. On New Year's Day we were up bright and early and went to DHS...it was like a ghost town and we got to ride TSMM twice with no wait!
