This is our first New Years Eve day and New Years Day at WDW.
Tell me all.
What happens and where?
What have you done in the past?

Us: Two adults. We each have PAPs. I already have PS at Le Cellier NYE, regular dinner time.

We usually go to a park until 10 pm on New Years Eve and then go back to the Polynesian and watch the fireworks from the beach. After the fireworks we go right back to our room without worrying about getting back and crowds.

We have had a lot of luck with going to Magic Kingdom at opening on New Years Day and seeing a lot since most people are still sleeping from all the fun they had the night before.

Have a great trip!:bounce:

Thanks Jerry.
We live just north of MK.
I was hoping to get a WDW resort room for Dec 31, (one night) just as a mini vacation.
I called twice and only three room types were available. And all three were ridiculous in cost.
I would like to get one. But if not, we don't have a far drive. :)

Make sure and get there very early in the day. Last year they closed very early to outside guests.

Yep -- We have our gals (doggies) set for a kennel visit. We are planning all all day-er. :hyper:

This brings up another question -- Due to crowds and capping, do we have to go to one park and stay there? No park hopping in case we cannot back get in a park?

Last year on NYE we went from EPCOT to MGM in the morning back to our resort in the afternoon and then to dinner at Spoodles at 6:00 P.M. At about 8:00 P.M. we went back into EPCOT for the rest of the night. If you are staying on site, it is far easier to move around than if you are not. The MK is another stroy. If you want to go there, then go and stay. We heard all kinds of stories about it last year and the year before.

Thanks.
For $500 - $800 for a room for one night, I will risk it. ;)
