NYE 2003-2004 Hilton Head-7 months out

Hey guys! I am a relatively new owner at BCV and am trying to schedule our points and vacation time for next year. Can anyone tell me what kind of luck I can expect seven months out for Hilton Head between Christmas and New Years Eve? I hate to "plan" for this if it is simply not going to happen!

Also, what about "trading" points. Does this happen often? I would certainly be willing to book my 11 month window at BCV if someone with HH could do the same for me.

My home resort is HHI and we are going for NYE 2002 but we only made the reservations in November. We first had a 1 BR and wait listed for a 2BR and was only on the wait list for a couple of days before we got the 2BR for Sun- Thurs. I think you will do fine at the 7 mos. window.

We're going to Hilton Head this Monday and staying through Friday - so we'll be there over New Years. We made our reservations in July and had no problem getting a 1 brm - so we were a few months past the seven month window and still got what we wanted. Based on that, I would think your chances are good.

I just booked a 2BR from January 1 - January 5 about a month ago, after returning from our Thanksgiving trip to Hilton Head. Then, just about a week ago, I added on December 31. I think I was able to pick up something that a member cancelled right before the 30-day mark.

Just FYI, this year, at least, there is a NYE activity for kids, and a separate one for teens, but nothing for adults... But we're absolutely fine with that. We're still deciding if we want to go out to dinner or just have a nice dinner in our villa. Aaaahhh, the beauty of DVC -- you can always choose!
