Hey everbody. I am goin to NYC for thanksgiving for the first time. I have no idea what to go see or where to eat. Most of all i have no idea where to shop. lol well i could really use some help so if u guys would please write back and tell me what I should do there it would be great!!! Thanks again :thewave:

Hmmmmmmmm. Never been there, but I might be able to help a little bit.

As for a place to eat. If you've ever seen Seinfield, there is this one resturaunt that they always go to to go eat. It's actually a real place, and a fun place to go.

As for places to go, you know the usual Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island (sp), Empire State Building. I think it would also be cool to go see the UN headquarters, and the building site of the Freedom Tower or whatever it's called, but that's just me. Also make sure you make it to Yankee Stadium before they tear it down.

As for were to shop, meh, I would check out that massive Macy's.

this is socer003grrl it won't let me sign out of my mom's name
i went to nyc about 4ish weeks ago a fun place to eat is jackel and hyde
ummmm times square is really cool and the wax musame(spell) is really cool

If you're going to be there on Thanksgiving day, you might want to check out the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Also for shopping, go to Macy's, and of course, 5th Avenue (even though everything is so expensive, you can "window shop"). Rockefeller Center is really cool, though I'm not sure if they'll have the Christmas tree or the ice skating rink up yet. Central Park is really pretty. Times Square is really interesting. If you're into theater, I'd suggest trying to go see a Broadway show. There is so much to do NYC, you might not find time to do everything you want!

You should go to Time Square, and 5th avenue. While you are on 5th avenue don't forget to go to the massive Disney store. You should go to a broadway play, they are really fun. Go to some museums. A really nice restaurant is called MARS. It's like you are eating in mars, everytime I go into the city with my mom we eat there.

there is soo much to do in the city. The first two thing you should do is go to times square(you haven't really experienced nyc if you don't go there) and see the empire state building Also try to go to the macy's thanksgiving day parade if you can...its amazing. Good places to also go to is Chinatown and Little Italy. SoHo and Fifth Ave are great places to shop. There are a lot of good restaurants in the city. My favorite would have to be Banc Cafe, located on 3rd ave on 30th St. Hope this helped!

I've been the the Jekyll and Hyde place! I thought it was very fun there! I was there on tour with my choir, and some of us went there to eat, the resturaunt theme was great and the waiters acted along with it with us. We thought it was very cool.

This is probably true everywhere, not just NYC but I had to share.
Planet Hollywood has the number one best french fries,
ever.

oOo! NYC! I <333 NYC. i'm going there thursday to see Rent. :)

anywho.. if you're going to NYC, I highly suggest going to see a Broadway show. they are AMAZING. Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Wicked, Phantom... the list goes on and on. lol
and of course, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Empire State Building are must sees. (which is kinda odd for me to say because i've never been to any of them... been to the city too many times to count, but yeah...)
as for shopping? Times Square, Rockefeller Center, and South Street Seaport have awesome shopping. South Street Seaport is kinda by the Brooklyn Bridge and not very far from Ground Zero as well.

Dinner? The only places I know of are in Times Square. Tony DiNapoli's has some AMAZING Italian food, in a family style resturant (portions serve 2-4 people). John's Brick Oven Pizzeria has the best NYC pizza around. and there's always Hard Rock Cafe, Planet Hollywood, Friday's, Applebee's, Olive Garden, and basically every chain imaginable.

Yeah I am a Long Island girl here so I visit the city often!
PM me if you have questions

It's best to make reservations, but Ellen's Stardust Diner is usually a fun place to eat. The wait staff sings, and it's all 50s themed. I've been three times, and it's lots of fun. :)
