NY Eve in the park

Just curious - actualy the kids more than me , was there a special fireworks show to clebrate the incoming year in the park ? Any other special celebrations to mark NY Eve ?

Lots of stuff. It's all listed on the entertainment schedule on Disneyland's web site. Highlights:

Special fireworks at 11:55 p.m.

Third Fantasmic! show at 11:55 p.m.

Bands performing throughout the Park until 2am.

And if it is like years' past...
A stage and countdown in front of the castle. Streamers. Hats. And so forth.

And lots and lots of people.

The special NYE fireworks go off @ midnight, not 5 min. before & the 3rd showing of Fan was @ 12:05. & I also know that there was a DJ by IASW & live performers @ the Rivers of America.
