Ny Earthquake

I did not know the earthquake affected areas from Canada to MD, when I got up this morning several of my picture frames were on the floor and I just thought our new kitten had knocked them off the tables. We all slept right through it!

We're in the Burlington, Vermont area...across Lake Champlain and about 25-30 miles from the epicenter.

The rumbling of the earthquake sounded like a freight train going right through our bedroom. It was quite loud.

We have heard that, unlike California earthquakes, this one made a lot of noise due to the depth of the plates moving around.

We live in Northern N.J. and items on the dresser and bed were shaking. It was strange waking up to an earthquake in this area. The samething happened several years ago.

It scared the life out of me this morning!!! Every window in my house was rattling, my DD was scared as her bed was shaking. Rumbling and vibration throughout all floors and walls.

Same here. I was already upstairs on the computer, and the swaying was very pronounced. Before it stopped I was halfway down the stairs yelling for DW to get up & get out of the house.
