Nw Years Eve, Normal tickets?

We are coming back from a skiing trip on 30th January this year and we thought it would be a great surprise for the kids if we went to DLP for 2 days. We will stop off site as having to do things on a budget.
My concern is that on the disney site i cannot get tickets for december and then when they come available will they be ordinary tickets or will i have to get something special for new year.
i have even heard that the parks close their gates due to high numbers. Any advice would be appreciated. We have been to Florida Disney before (not at NEw Year) but the two other families with us havent and they really want to do this for their kids. i would hate us to get wrong tickets or not get in on New Years Eve.

There are no special tickets for New Year's Eve but I would try and get there early just to be sure - see you there!

Thanks bit worried about crowds, its never been a problem when we have been bofore but looking forward to the atomosphere. Our friends children will love it.

It will be busy but you'll still get stuff done. Go with the view to have fun and as long as your goal isn't to do as much as possible you'll have a blast! You'll see me walking around with my maleficent horns or Stitch Xmas hat!
