NVG at AKL?

I've heard about these night vision goggles at AKL and had a couple questions: Are they free or is there a charge? Is there a tour associated with these or do you just get them then go look at the animals?

Every night from about 9-11 there are CMs out on the rock outcropping with them. Have two or three pair, which is always plenty. They are night vision binoculars. Works great to see the animals night activity or sleeping. CMs are there to answer all your animal questions.

If you have a camcorder with nightvision it works just the same. Was able to record them that way too.
