I know the number one rule is don't try anything new!

But are you adjusting your eating habits this week?

I am trying to go without sweets this week and try and limit the greasy potato chips. I am going to replace that with V8 juice for my salty fix.
Lots of water, I am going to try for 8 oz an hour throughout the day. MFM says you need to hydrate all week long.

Anything else?

I was also looking for the confirmation codes to track a runner, thanks Mel, found it!

THey'll send the conf code to the email addresses and phone numbers you entered. Just go back and enter them in the website to get everything set up.

Thanks Mel, I just read that, about the confirmation codes. I just got DH set up tracking me with his cell phone, hopefully this will help him find me with 2 kids in tow.

Add a few bananas and apples to your diet this week. Bananas are filled with electrolytes, and apples with carbohydrates. Your body will be hungry for both during ther races.

Also---while you are making sure to drink enough water--be sure not to drink too much. Drinking 3 gallons of water per day for example probably isn't wise ;). I'll be laying off the junk food this week as well--though I'll be having some chocolate chip cookies on Friday at my pasta party since my dinner will have been consumed at Trails End :).

No, not 3 gallons here, a glass a water an hour from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. is what I hope to consume. Also some sports drinks and V8 to keep everything, electrolytes, etc., balanced.

Starting today, it's nothign to drink but water, herbal tea and pwoerade. If it's going to eb on the hot side for me, I want to be hydrated. Not too much though, 64 oz is about the max I can handle and not pass myself coming and going to the bathroom. ;)

Thanks for the reminders! I really want that bag of cheesecorn sitting in the pantry though. I won't cuz it's too late for me to add anything but a beverage just now and the rest of the week I will be good too.

OK, dh picked up apples and bananas (thanks Craig). I really need caffeine this morning, but I have resisted. Have had 2 servings of water and about 1.5 of herbal tea. May need to step it up a bit!
