It's not! Trust me, it's delicious! I love the taste because it doesn't taste like a heavy, dark type chocolate (blech! I don't like dark chocolate!), and the hazelnuts really complement the chocolate. If you've had a Ferrero Rocher candy, Nutella tastes similar to the filling inside. I think Nutella might be used inside Ferrero?
I love eating some with a banana, but there are so many options.
I learned to love it in Switzerland while in college, only the brand they had there was called Frelitta. Same stuff, though. As long as you like hazelnuts (and chocolate), you'll like it. If you hate hazelnuts (which some people do), then you won't like it.
I like to toast an English muffin and then slather the stuff on till it gets all gooey .
I personally don't like it, but I'm not a chocolate person. DD and DH LOVE the stuff, though. DH's favorite snack is graham crackers, Nutella, and marshmallow fluff- kind of like a high-end 'smore. DD brings peanut butter and Nutella sandwiches in her lunch a couple times a week.
Yummy! I eat it on apple slices so that at least I can say I'm getting some fruit! What I really like it on, though, is a big flaky croissant...
DH loves it too but says it must be served on something salty, like Wheat Thins or soda crackers.
If you think it looks disgusting in the commercials, you really may not like it. I know quite a few people who do not like it.
I an allergic to hazelnuts so I do nut eat it--but the kids and my husband love it. They eat it on all kinds of things They do say they think the texture is different and not as good in the USA (DD says sometimes it tastes "waxy" at "home") but it is still good. I don't know if maybe it sits around on the store shelves longer there or something.
