Nutella?

I think maybe I haven't seen the same commercials that the OP has seen. :)

Yes, I would use the same reasoning too ... but then we're tricked into eating more because we think eating it with an apple is healthy! It's like I've heard people say about the 100 calorie packs ... they eat more than just one because they see the "100" and lose self-control. :lmao:

Plus the ingredients in the things that come in 100 calorie packs are just junk. Woo, HFCS!

I still say that the health benefits of the apple outweigh anything bad in the nutella :rotfl2:

(I am an Adam Lambert fan and I love the song form 2012 but I am not sure if I am going to see it yet, not my type of movie.)

True, you do have a point! I guess eating nutella - with or without fruits - can make you emotionally happy, so I guess it is healthy!

And I'm sure Adam will be singing other songs for movies in the future, maybe even for your favorite genre/s!

I like the 100 calorie packs, but some of them I've tried do taste like "junk," and are really repulsive!

I have a friend at work who brings in PB & N sandwiches - no lie - an inch thick!!!! :lmao::thumbsup2:thumbsup2

It really is uber yum!

DS was allergic to peanuts - and hated giving up the Puppy Chow snack camping with Scouts -

Nutella to the rescue! (he isnt allergic to filberts/hazelnuts) we replaced the peanut butter with nutella!!

Puppy Chow

Ingredients:

1/2 cup Peanut Butter
1/4 cup Butter
1 cup Chocolate Chips
1/2 tsp. Vanilla
9 cups Crispix cereal (any flavor)
1-1/2 cups Powdered Sugar

Instructions:

1. Combine peanut butter, butter and chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl.

2. Microwave for one minute then stir to blend all ingredients thoroughly. Add 1/2 tsp. vanilla. Stir well.

3. Place the 9 cups of Crispix cereal in a very large bowl.

4. Pour the peanut butter-chocolate mixture over the cereal and toss evenly, making sure all the cereal gets a good covering.

5. Coat with powdered sugar, sprinkling evenly over the cereal and tossing as you sprinkle to cover each piece well.

I grill fresh pinapple, then spread out the pinapple on a platter and while hot dab dollops of Nutella and Creme Fresh all over the pinapple. Serve Hot

It makes a pretty platter and everyone I've served it to loves it. It was a recipe on the Food Network a few years back from Bobby Flay. I serve this for company and they all have loved it!

Nutella is very much a staple in our French household. I make my own croissants (heavy on the butter, bien sûr!) and when they come out of the oven and we spread Nutella on them - o mon Dieu - but they are good! DD and DH are seriously addicted.

How smoky does the grilled pineapple taste? I really don't like grilled/smoky flavors at all, but your recipe sounds delicious - I wish I could eat it right now! I did have a grilled vegetable sandwich at the Sunshine Seasons in Epcot which I enjoyed and it didn't taste smoky at all, so perhaps I could give this a try? Your opinion?

I do NOT buy jars of Nutella because I could finish a jar in one sitting...no joke! SOOOOO GOOOD!!!!!!! But...at World Market they have little single serving packets in the food section...I got one of those a few weeks ago (and one for my boyfriend to try) and I was happy!

But I'd be happier if I had some in the house right now...yummmm....

Just tried it for the first time last month. One word YUM!!!! oh it lasted less than 24hr in my house. Guess that says it all!:thumbsup2

I love nutella! I usually have it on crepes or croissants.
When I went to Italy I saw a large 5 pound jar of it, but i settled for a regular size jar.

You could broil the pineapple if you don't like the smoky taste. Or saute it in a pan with some butter.

I love Nutella! My DW got some a while back and asked me if I wanted to try it. I did, and now I absolutely love it. I have had it on bagels, biscuits, toast, English muffins, just to name a few. But I like it best on an English muffin. I had it this morning before coming to work...yummy! I can't bring the jar to work though as it would not make it an hour, I could eat the whole jar.

I haven't had Nutella in years. I don't buy it at home because as others have said, it is crack in a jar.
I do remember about 5 years ago when they had the Beaver tail booth in Canada in Epcot, getting a warm fried beaver tail with nutella spread all over it. YUM! That was the best treat on a cold evening at the park. I also got the strawberry and whipped ream one in the summer but the Nutella one was the best.
I miss my beaver tails and nutella!

It doesn't taste smoky at all. It tastes more carmalized because the sweetness of the pinapple makes a glaze on it. It's hard to describe, I guess it would depend on how long you grill them. I do about 2-3 min. on each side just so they are soft.
