This stuff is soooo good! yep I know its not healthy but boy is it good.
We just tried it for the first time. I think I am hooked.:)

It's delicious junk food, that's for sure! DH likes to dip tortilla chips in it.
I like it because it's so rich that just a little bit (like a teaspoonful) on sliced apples satisfies my dessert craving.

It's pretty good, but what I miss is the chocolate peanut butter that Jiff used to make....that stuff was HEAVENLY!!:lovestruc

DD and DH love the stuff- DD likes a peanut butter and Nutella sandwich! I don't like chocolate or hazlenuts, so I personally think it's awful. I am probably in the minority, though- everyone I have ever talked to who tried it is addicted.

I do not like Nutella but Chocolate Jiff was crack!!!!

Ferrero Nutella just so happens to be one of our advertiser clients and I wasn't willing to taste test it until a co worker gave me a sample in a birthday basket. ...o....m.... G!!! :scared1:

I walked around the office declaring that I'd MARRY Nutella! Whenever someone comes to my office and asks for some of my HUSBAND, I know what they're asking for!! :lmao:

I like to stir a big spoonful into brownie batter. Yum!

I keep a jar around but hide it because we will all eat way too much.

My dd loves chocolate sandwiches .

We have a restaurant here that makes crepe desserts using Nutella. They add whatever you want - strawberries, bananas, etc. Then they warm it up. It's so good and probably not too hard to make at home, although I've never tried.

oh that looks really good, I think I have some won ton wrappers in the fridge :)

oh that sounds good too, and adding the fruit makes it healthy :thumbsup2:)

They had this stuff 25 years ago when I was in Belgium for a semester abroad. I used to make PB, Nutella and Marshamallow fluff sandwiches. OMG!! The calorie count must have been obscene. :scared1:

The commercials crack me up - all that talk about "ENERGY" (AKA sugar!) and mom getting her kid hyped up on the stuff before sending her off to school. "Nutella is made with skim milk, hazelnuts, and a hint of cocoa!" she says with an I'm-such-a-good-mommy smirk.

I'm thinking she must really hate her child's teacher!

Ingredients: sugar, modified palm oil, hazelnuts, cocoa, skim milk, reduced minerals, whey, soy lecithin, vanillin (an artificial flavour)

1 Tablespoon (aprox. 13.5g) of Nutella contains:

100 Calories
6g fat
11 grams of sugar
1g protein

Compare those 2 Tablespoons to a WHOLE Hershey's Milk Chocolate bar (43 g):

210 Calories
13 g fat
24 g sugar
3 g protein

If you multiplied the amount of Nutella by 3, giving us a little over 40 g and a more reasonable amount that you might spread on your bread, then the Nutella comes out rather badly compared to the Milk Chocolate Bar...

300 Calories
18 g fat
33 g sugar
3 g protein

On the Nutella Canada website there's a recipe for a "delicious, easy and quick way to start your day off right" involving a quarter cup (!) of Nutella and "low fat muesli". Good lord, why bother with anything low fat when you're already downing 24 g of fat and 400 calories worth of Nutella?

My hypoglycemic son would be unconscious in an hour if I fed him a quarter cup of Nutella for breakfast, regardless of whether I mixed it with muesli and stuffed it in an apple. :lmao:

umm we didn't need to see that :rotfl:

I only put about 1 teaspoon, maybe 1 1/2 on my piece of toast and it was more than enough.

It is so good with chunks of banana, which is why I don't buy it. I am not to be trusted in the presence of anything that mixes chocolate and hazelnut

tastes yummy on a caramel rice cake.

In Paris they have street vendors that sell Nutella on warm crepes:thumbsup2

I think their Nutella tastes much better than ours. I am not sure if they changed the recipe for the US or it just tastes better when your in Paris. :lmao:

My daughter calls it "crack". It's so addicting. Once you try it, that's all you want.
