Hi ladies!

I'm writing up a post after I had a few requests from moms wondering about breastfeeding at Disney. I'm almost done it, but thought I'd see if any of you had some last minute suggestions that I could add.

I'm all for nursing wherever whenever, but I want to offer up a few other options too for woman who aren't comfortable with that besides just the baby center.

Do you have a favorite spot to go?

Thanks!

I didnt nurse an infant at dl but did a 13 month old. I liked finding a corner table at a restaurant with me facing the corner. Cool and that way I didnt need to cover with a blanket esp since dd at that age would have nothing to do with that. We only nursed before naps and bedtime though so not too hard for us.

I will say though that taking my first on a trip at 2 months taught me to be more comfortable with nursing in public since she would still nurse every 2 hours! I think you can plan but when a tiny one is hungry you just have to get over being embarrassed. I think planning what you wear is probably more important than planning where to nurse.

Oh and be careful because we nursed so little on the dl vacation that I got pregnant the next month! Might have happened anyway but didnt help for sure!

Thanks Liltx! I totally agree - sometimes when baby needs to eat baby just needs to eat :)

And OH MY to the pregnancy thing haha. I'm one of those crazy ones who doesn't get a period til I'm basically done nursing, so I've been lucky there!

Spots I've enjoyed because they're quiet and I can usually find a spot where at least one side is by a wall:

DL-
Tomorrowland - by innoventions and pizza port if it's not hot and the rocket is turned off
- or across from innoventions on the other side of the gift shop from the Jedi academy there is a small section of tables

Downstairs at Hungry Bear

DCA-
Flo's Cafe outside next to a gas pump

I've only been twice while breastfeeding so far, so I don't have a lot of suggestions. I also bf in line while baby was in the Ergo!

I did not have my little one with me and used a breast pump. I carried a small cooler with ice packs and froze the milk at night. I kept the cooler and pump at the baby center all day and went there to use it, under the a/c, in a rocking chair with curtain pulled. Worked great for me.

I also purposefully reduced pumping sessions and therefore milk production during this trip. So, knew it would take some patience and only a few days to return things to normal once we were reunited.

I never got one either, not that I can complain since I went 3 years without having a period. Super surprised would be putting it mildly!

I went in December, so the baby centers worked best for me. They were warm! I had a 2 month old and a 22 month old, so DH would change the 22 month old while I nursed the 2 month old. Then the 22 month old got a snack and break to run around outside with DH while I nursed. Worked great. Although I felt like I spent most of that trip in the Baby care center, LOL.

Any ride without a height restriction! Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Snow White, Jungle Cruise.... I had an ultra light blanket made of eyelet lace so it folded up tiny in my backpack. I certainly was not going to stop riding rides to feed the baby when I could do both things at once just as easily!

Thanks for posting this!! I am going to be going this December with a 2 month-ish infant in tow and nursing will of course be a frequent occurance lol We haven't been before so this is great info for me

I've got a few of those on my list! Thank you!!!

I'll post the link here once I'm done Millie :)
Or you can watch for it on my blog facebook page http://www.facebook.com/momentsinmommyland

Thank you so much! I will keep an eye out in both places for it! I am not a bashful nurser, but the last thing I want is to have to sit in the middle of busy walkway to nurse for 20 mins with people bumping past me and DS :sad2: Hopefully I will just compile a list from you lovely ladies and put it on my touring plan so I have places listed near by to whatever area we are in

Favorite in DL: it's a small world
DCA: outside Monsters Inc at the stage, Animation Academy

My DS has a terrible problem these days of being too distracted to eat. He would rather look around than focus on nursing... such a silly boy!

Any quiet places, other than the baby centers?

I found a good spot near the Matterhorn in the shade of some trees, just past the entrance. I got a quite a few supportive comments and one lady even gave me a bottle of water.

I thought I had found a good spot on a bench in front or the Animation Academy. It was great until one of the street cars stopped to wait for a performance ahead to finish right in front of me.
