Nurses

To all of the dedicated, hardworking nurses and I know there are a few of you here, thank you for all that you do. You probably do not get paid enough for some of the tasks you have to perform and for dealing with some of the patients & visitors who can be "difficult". And then being pleasant & cheerful too. I'm sure you are very underappreciated.

There is also the matter of lines bluring between doctors and nurses as nurses do more things once done only by doctors so the liabilities are increasing for nurses. The most stressful jobs are those where the workers have responsibility without authority.

As the wife of one of those dedicated nurses, THANK YOU!!!! for taking the time to recognize those in the nursing profession. Many of them, including DH, don't even give themselves the deserved credit. Here's to nurses!!!!!

I would also like to thank nurses. My father was in ICU for two weeks and the nurses were incredible. He was moved to a regular floor on May 15th when he asked that he be allowed to pass away in peace. The nurses on the regular floor were also incredible to my father and our family while we kept vigil at the hospital. He passed peacefully on May 17th. The compassion that these nurses showed my father and us was amazing. They kept telling us how they were so greateful that we were respecting our fathers wish to pass away. This made the decision just a little bit easier to deal with. During our vigil at the hospital the nurses were always asking if we needed anything and made sure food and drinks were sent up to us during the three days we were there. There are eleven children in my family so there were alot of us at the hospital and the nurses were so great to us and our mother.

We were sure to send a note to the hopsital praising the staff on both the ICU floor and regular floor. We also sent both nurses stations edible arrangements.
