I put this on the resort board but would also like all of your input. I have a land/ sea res. Staying for 6 nights at a Deluxe. Would like to use nurse's rate. Do you know if they give any kind of discount like this with the cruise. I think if I can get this with the land portion (staying for 6 nights before the cruise and for 4 nights on the ship) that it would save me alot of money. Any help with be great.

Unfortunately there are no discounts on the cruise like you might be able to get at WDW, meaning Nurse's discounts.

The only way to get discounts onboard is the Early Booking Discount which is based on far in advance you book the cruise. Also, depending on what time of year your cruise has a substanial impact on the cost of the cruise. Typically Jan/Fan and the Fall Months are the least expensive times to cruise.

I assume you would be booking your land/sea vacation seperately since I think that might be only way to get the Nurses discount on the land portion.

I joined the Disney Club and when I called the cruise line to get my 50.0 onboard ship credit they also told me that my new rate or the 4 day cruise/3 days land was now 80000 cheaper (what a BIG surprise that was!!!) becuase I joined the Disney club....plus I got a big early booking discount for booking oer a year in advance...

Hi,
I will be a first time cruiser in April. Can hardly wait. All of this is new to me but these forums are SO HELPFUL - Thanks!
How do I become a Disney Club member?
Would it lower my rate?

Thanks for any help you can give me!

I forgot about the Disney Club now offering some discounted sailing.

I was wondering how many people were booked for that cruise that they saved $80,000!!!!!

The Disney Club does not offer any discount on the DCL. The $50 onboard credit for selected spring sailings is the only discount available.

What must have happend is that another discount such as springtime savings kicked in on your ressie. That would explain the savings of $800. :)

On the Disney Club webpage that has details about the $50 onboard credit, they do mention 'special rates' separately from the onboard credit offer.

They might coincidentally be the same as Spring Time Magic, but it looks like different rates are offered.

Here's a link to the page: Disney Club Offer

jazmyin.... Is the deluxe you are staying at the Swan or Dolphin? These two resorts had a special rate for cruisers of $99.00 per night for certain dates. I had to contact my TA who contacted DCL to get this special rate. When I called the Swan/Dolphin they knew nothing of this cruise special. I'm not sure if this special is still available. If you are staying at either of these resorts you should call your TA or DCL to see if you can still take advantage of this great rate. Patty:earsgirl:

perhaps but the reservation person that took down the disney club number said that with the Disney club card it brings down the cost of the cruise from 4600 to 3800....hey either way it doesn't matter...all I know is that one day I was confirmed paying 4600 the nex day 3800 :D

Hey I also would like to know what the nurse's rate is and which resorts it is available at. I just wish I had known about this earlier.

Also curious as to what nurse's rate is.

The Disney Club discount is exactly the same as the Springtime Magic promotion. With Disney Club you do get the shipboard credit, though. :)

The only resorts offering discounts for nurses are the Swan and Dolphin resorts. You would need to book that separately in order to get any discounts offered. :)
