Nursery for almost three year old

Our grandson will be a few weeks shy of 3 years old when we cruise and we plan to have him spend some time in the nursery. is there enough to entertain him? What kinds of things will he be able to do? Are there special times for activities or is it all free play?

Another Grandma here: You didn't say what ship so the nurseries do vary a bit but I found the play space well designed but the highlight was the staff! Amazing and kind! My granddaughter wasn't sure she wanted to let go of Grandma but the staff helped make our Palo night a success! And she was incredibly happy when I returned for pick up. She visited a few other times

I also encourage you to utilized toddler time in the club. The play space offered a great place to spend some time with Grandma and expend energy for this age group!

This was a decade ago now- but my very active all boy son was about 6 weeks from 3 when we cruise and I had visions of him running over toddlers or being very bored. None of that happened! He absolutely loved the nursery. He’d want to go every time we walked by. My daughter was 17 months at the time and we‘d have their food come during our appetizers and then one of us would run them to the nursery. We did this probably 4-5 of the 7 nights. Some nights we picked them up right away, some nights we had a drink or caught a show for a bit first. At the end of the cruise we got a packet full of pictures and artwork they had done. Pluto and Goofy even stopped by at some point. I cant Remember exactly what they did… but I know I had similar concerns and had nothing but a wonderful experience.
