Number of points for a trip that overlaps seasons?

If your trip overlaps seasons, do you calculate the dates separately or is it based on check in date?

Just an FYI: I just booked a trip that overlapped use years. You can't book them together online. So you have to make the reservations for each UY separately and then have MS link them up. It might be easier just to call MS at the outset.

I think the OP is asking about trips that cross over DVC points seasons, not Use Year.
