Number of people per room

I just called to make a reservation for any value hotel. I needed two rooms one.They checked for 2 people and said they had Pop Century and I told them one room would have 4 people. She said for 4 people they only had All Star Music. I doesn't really matter to me but why does it matter how many people are in a room. If they have open rooms as long as it's less than 4 adults and one under 3 it shouldn't matter. Just wondering!

You need to talk to another CM tht one does not know what they are doing

We allways have 4 people in a room and sometimes its 4 adults. But we book room only and add the other (tickets etc when we get there) are you
on a package I still think it would not make any diff.

There is the posibility that the CM did not understand that you wanted two rooms and she was putting all 6 in a family suite

The value resort category wouldnt show king beds. You need to call back and talk to someone else

values have king bed rooms...

but you should be able to book 4 adults in a room with 2 doubles anyway, since a double bed is technically for 2 people (although it is crowded, that is what "double" means.)

Im aware values have king bed rooms but you cant select a king bed room at a value resort therefore the CM could not have told you that four people cant fit in the room they had left

So what happens when they have more families of 3 or 4 staying at a value then they have doubles available? I know you can only request a King, but I thought if you have more then 2 or 2 + infant that they would not put you in a King.

Generally theyll put parties of 2 or 2 plus an infant in the king bed rooms and parties of 3 or 4 in double rooms. I would imagine if they have a family of 4 and only king bed rooms left they would upgrade them to another resort or compensate them to move to another value resort. But I would say that doesnt happen alot
