since this is brought up and I always wondered...what are those rooms where the patio faces the bus loop..I always see them as we are walking to the buses and commented that I wouldn't want a room where everyone could walk right by..are those DVC rooms?

I don't know for sure, but I believe those rooms are on floor 2. The one thing I can say with certainty is they are definitely NOT DVC rooms! The only DVC rooms at Jambo are on floors 5 and 6 (6 being Club Level).

Just booked our first stay at the AKL Aug 9 -13. It will also be our first time staying CL. So excited!

....well, you wouldn't really get a view of the bus stop per se, since it's further on down the walkway apiece....

Good to know! I seem to have terrible room view karma but hopefully this time we'll get lucky and end up with something prettier.

This was the same concern I had. We booked Standard View non-DVC rooms with the summer discount, so I put in a request for Ostrich Trail to avoid having to deal with the walkway and the bus stops. I couldn't remember if there were ground level rooms there or not so I decided to not take the chance!

The possibility of getting a ground level room didn't even occur to me. Now I'm scared.

At WL, ground floor near the bus is where the accessable rooms are. Since the floor plans are similar, I wonder if those are in that location...

No reason to be worried. Request "lobby level" (3rd floor) or "higher floor" and you should be fine!

I don't think that's the case at AKL. The reason I say that is there's no exit near those rooms that would be considered "accessible". In fact, the one exit near those rooms has stairs.

The view actually doesn't bother us...we're park command types anyways and it's a short trip this time. I just don't want people walking back and forth outside our patio/balcony to get to the buses!

I've never ever been upgraded at Disney. I doubt it will happen this time, either. But I'll send you some for your trip so you do!! 23 Days, wish my trip was that soon!

We are staying in a 2 bedroom lock off at Kidani. I didn't make any requests when I checked in online. Any idea where the standard view rooms are located? I don't care about the floor, but last time we were at the very far end of the resort but that was a savanna view.

Less than 2 weeks, can't wait.
