The culinary tour of Boma and Jiko sounds like a fun activity could someone tell me more about how to sign up, the price ect.
Just booked a standard suite for our first stay at Jambo House for May 1/13-7/13! Super excited!
Just got our confirmation for Jambo Savannah Studio for 1/19/14-1/24/14! We wanted club level but they were sold out before David's DVC could find an owner match for us.... they disappeared today just hours before they found one.
I think we will try the buses this time too... we kept seeing the bus come for AKL as we were walking to the car which was hilarious as I wanted the car because I was worried they would be bad.![]()

My pedometer tells me I do anywhere from 22 - 24k steps a day at the parks -- now if I could just figure out how many miles that is!![]()
WeCantWait said:Can you please add us to the list? We will be staying at AKL in a pool view room (hoping to be close to the pool and Mara), 8/22-8/30. This will be our first stay at AKL, we have eaten at Boma many times and we have always wanted to try AKL, so glad we will get the chance this year!
They're free! Look at the Activies Guide when you get there, it will tell you what time they are. You just show up about 10 min. before. I've done them both & was the only person on the tour - so I got all the samples!
I thought I had read they discontinued doing this tour, hopefully not!

When we were at the AKL the beginning of December, the tour was suspended until after the holidays.
It was back on again during my trip earlier this month BUT it wasn't on the schedule or posted on the Activities Board!
So if you don't see it listed, check at the Boma podium. It's normally 4:00pm daily.![]()
I have added you to the list. You are my first for 2014....![]()
I lurk on this thread all the time but haven't posted in many many moons. My DD and I are planning our next WDW visit and would again like to stay at AKV in Oct/Nov .... now I'm just sitting here waiting for the 7 month window to open up!!!

Its so easy to plan a vacation somewhere warmer when its winter time where I am... even being able to go around in jeans and a sweatshirt would make it feel like
Does there tend to be many options for you at 7 months? My husband wants to buy in at Aulani which I am fine with, but I do wonder if we will be able to stay at AKL when we head that way instead...
Its true... my husband wouldn't even talk about other resorts this trip and we have only been once! I should have seen the others first, now I may never get to!![]()

I was reading the first page of this thread and noticed a few differences in the descriptions between the pool view and Arusha. Could someone verify that these are NOT included in the pool view?
"Microwave. Private bathroom. Hair dryer. Complimentary toiletries. Blackout drapes/curtains. Ceiling fan. Climate control."
Thanks!
