I am pricing out packages including a rental thru NU Car.
I am pricing out a PACKAGE that includes NU Car.
Yes, I wrote that twice to stress that it is a package with NU Car and a hotel. I've seen previous posts (years ago) where people asked about Nu Car and most responses were to try Costco, etc. I am interested in Nu Car experiences.

Does anyone have experience with NU Car? I am assuming they are an off-shoot of a larger company. It looks like they have very mixed reviews.

You have it reversed. They are an off shoot of a small company. In Orlando NU Car books through Action Car rental. You have to bring a copy of your auto policy. If it doesn't meet their requirements you'll be paying $$$ for coverage through the. Assume.a very hard sales pitch. I think youll have to give them a credit card. Debit cards require paying an extra $10 per day. I dont know their toll policy. One of the companies charged you $250, to remove a sunpass sticker if you want to pay your own tolls. Otherwise there was a huge per toll fee.

Check the reviews, I wouldn't consider using them.

Also check the hotel. There are some really sleazy hotels. Occasionally an air hotel package is cheaper then alone. Those are considered throwaway rooms. Indescribably bad.

I just googled reviews. I wouldn't call it mixed. Almost all reviews, above 80%, are 1*. Other sites show average review of 2*. Mixed between 1 and 2 stars. Count me out.

Edited to add F rating from BBB.

Given the reviews Id be surprised if any member of DIS used then.

Thanks for the response. I was afraid I was going to get a lot of snarky replies since my post is a bit snippy.

the packages I was looking at included Saratoga Springs. Based on those reviews I’m not even considering them and will book my hotel and car separately. Thanks

Literally never heard of this company. Would not use them.

Ive never used NU car rental. However, I've had experience renting from other fly-by-night car rental companies that go something like this:

1) customer service is non-existent
2) the rental location is off site at some dimly lit industrial complex a few miles away
3) there will be other mandatory fees that you may not be able to opt out of
4) they may require you to carry an unusually high amount of liability on your own insurance policy
5) they may only accept certain credit cards.

Reviews for NU Car are worse then that.
