Please answer the following question:

In 2006 I distinctly recall riding a bus from AK to MK. Recently I thought I saw a post saying busses do not travel between parks. Am I:

1. Out of my mind. Busses have NEVER travelled between parks

2. Correct, at that time, but the busses no longer do that.

or

3. Correct, and the busses still travel between parks.

Thanks so much for your time!!

It was true in 2006 when we went as well at 2010. I wasn't aware of it changing. I'd have to look it up since I haven't heard otherwise. It would be strange to me if it changed because it encouraged hopping.

They travel between parks. We took one a few weeks ago from DHS to Epcot.

Thank goodness! First, I'm not out of my mind;), and second that will make my life A LOT easier in 22 days!!!

I for one am totally out of my mind. but yes the buses do travel between all parks. We were just there last week and park hopped several times.

Now if you want to go to Downtown Disney from one of the parks there's not a direct bus for that. We had to travel to a resort and catch a DTD bus from there. Maybe that's what the person was thinking with the bus service?

There is direct transportation between all parks except MK. To go between MK and the other parks, you will need to transfer at the TTC.

There is no direct transportation between any of the parks and DTD.

Yes, only resorts. We left MK one day to go to DTD for lunch and took the boat over to the TTC thinking we could for sure catch a bus to DTD only to find out we couldn't. We were being lazy and didn't want to walk all the way back to CR. We ended up walking from TTC to the Poly to catch the bus.

As of last week the bus from AK to MK went thru TTC. It's been that way as long as I can remember, but I recently saw a rumor that the bus stall they were working on at the MK stalls was for either DHS or AK.

You may also have read that there is no direct bus service between resorts. The only way to get to one resort from another is to go to a park, DTD or TTC and transfer to another bus. That may have been where some of the confusion came from.

There are no resort buses stopping at the TTC, so that wouldn't be an option as a transfer point for resort-to-resort transportation.

Historically all transportation between the MK and other parks has gone through the TTC. It has been reported, however, that the recent revamping of the MK bus depot included adding stops for the AK and DHS buses. I have not seen that, but posters on the Transportation board have noted it. Epcot-MK travel via monorail (there are no buses for that route except in very limited circumstances) obviously still requires a transfer at the TTC.

There is direct park-to-park bus service for Epcot (Main Gate)-DHS, Epcot (Main Gate)-AK, and DHS-AK.

3. The "rule" is simple. Park to park (theme park) transportation runs to and from the respective parking lot concourse areas. (For Magic Kingdom it is the Transportation and Ticket Center. For Epcot it is the front entrance only.)

I know where the resort buses are - but where are the Park-to-Park buses?
I have never seen them. (I can't believe I didn't know this!) :confused3

For MK, they load at the TTC.

At the other parks, they load in the same area as the resort buses.

At Epcot, the DHS bus, and at DHS, the Epcot & AK buses, load in the the charter bus lots, which are adjacent to the resort bus load zones. They are listed on directory boards, and there are signs.

BUMP for a related question

How late do busses/boats run at DTD? We have a late night for La Nouba and were hoping to stop by HoB for a late dinner.

Boats run from DTD until 11 p.m. Buses run until 2 a.m.

Thanks for the help everyone!

We're in POR, so was hoping to catch the boats, but wanted to make sure the bus will be there if we run late.
