NSSH & VMC in one trip (2017)? Crowds?

Hiya! My friend & I have done VMC the past few trips & love it. She really wants to do NSSH (she'll have a husband, 2 babies, and a M-I-L this trip, so it will be very different), though I don't want to give up 1-my blood-soaked, haunted house (I work in one) Halloween, 2-my castle lights and snow on Main Street. We had discussed going at the very end of October, so as to try to catch one of each. We usually stay for about a week. If I recall correctly, the VMC parties start early enough to do so.
One of my main concerns is crowds *on* Halloween, and the days surrounding it. I know the crowds for holidays are bananas, though the ticketed events are limited. Outside of that, if the parks are going to be insanely busy...I'd rather pick a different week.
Any advice is greatly appreciated

Both the day before Halloween and Halloween parties sold out this year (sometime last week, I believe). Parks will be crowded, but not Christmas crowded, just normal crowded. The first MVMCP this year is Nov 7. If the same holds for next year, you'll need at least a week to hit them both.

Thank you That's what I was thinking. Maybe go down the day of/before Halloween & do a VMC the last night we're there.

Hey all...we're still debating dates. Anyone else have any answers/ideas/advice?

We are doing both (well 2nd last Halloween and 1st Christmas this year). But until they announced days I wasn't sure if you could do both in 7 nights because the first party date varied a lot.

Our Halloween party was sold out and with a solid touring plan we were totally fine.

We are going to hit both again next year as well hopefully.

That makes me feel better. I'll just have to aim for closer to the day of Halloween, rather than several days before Thank you!
