Hi everyone.

I seen somewhere that you can book a captains quarter breakfast at the Newportbay. Is this worth it. What food do they serve, how much and times?

Thanks I just wanna be well prepared before I go:yay:

Hi,

Last time we went we were upgraded FOC to have breakfast in the Captain's Quarters - didn't realise you could book it now.

Basically you take breakfast in the Captain's Quarters which is one of the smaller bars in the NPB. It's quiet and very relaxing with table service - they bring you coffee, juice etc and you go up and help yourself to a breakfast buffet which also includes hot food. I think this is the same hot food you get in the HNY. Times (from memory) were 8am until 10am. Seating wise I guess would be about 20 families at the most so if it is now bookable then it's probably something you need to do on arrival.

We totally enjoyed it as it meant no morning breakfast scrum. The CQ is also very close where the characters come and have photos taken so it's easy to keep an eye out for characters as your having breakfast and hop out for a quick photo and then back again to resume breakfast.

We were also invited to have our breakfast in there during our stay at NPB, but I didn't know it was a bookable extra either.

It was possibly the nicest breakfast experience we've had at DLP and I'd be interested to know about it's availability and costs for future reference. ;)

Fiona has reported on this recently and I think she said it was 12E per person

It was the best €12 I ever spent for my breakfast I can tell you!! Having experienced one morning of the usual breakfast scrum it was a relief to quietly sit and wake up to the morning!!

From memory hot drinks were served to your table, there was the usual choice of breads, croissants, cold meats, cheeses, fresh fruit, yogurts, cereals and the hot selection included tomatoes, scrambled egg, bacon and sausages.

Also there were 2 lovely toasters hardly used by anyone so I could toast my gluten free bread to my hearts content!!:)

We had to book at reception for this as they only take 100 people during the hours of 8am and 10am. You didn't have to prebook a time, you just turned up with your voucher and they sat you at a table.

We could only get 2 breakfasts in here as it was full on the remaining days
