Hi! :wave2:

We've booked a stay at the NPB on the Admirals Floor (last minute thought using the French Flash sale last week)...and the Admirals floor was the only room option.

We've stayed at the NPB once before in a standard room, but really can't find any current info on what the Admirals floor offers...and with the refurb going on.

Does anyone have any handy info they can pass along? Thanks! :goodvibes

Bump :goodvibes

We stayed AF in 2012 so not very recent but here goes ..... the perks were breakfast in Yacht Club as opposed to Cape Cod (CC had long queues, YC didn't), dedicated check-in desk, complimentary towel hire at pool, bottled water in room ..... can't think of anything else, if I can I'll post it.

I will say that we absolutely loved the Newport Bay, I'd even go as far as to say I preferred our room there over the one we had at the DLH the previous year (and I'd loved that one). Hope you have an equally lovely stay there. :)

We stayed on the Admirals floor at NPB but it was a few years ago now. There is a separate check in and you got free towels at the swimming pool and possibly a free tea/coffee basket. Hopefully someone who has stayed more recently will be able to give you more information. :goodvibes

Well thank you! :goodvibes

I guess the towel hire won't be of much use with the pool being closed, same with the breakfast...:confused3

When checking in then...do you skip the downstairs check in and simply head straight to the Admirals floor and do everything there?

When we stayed it was still downstairs, just a separate check in.

I think the biggest benefit is you get a room near reception and not miles away.

We also had a coffee machine from memory (nespresso)

Just in case you do get a refurbed room, here are some photos from the fabulous figgy over on the TA forum

scroll down and you can see her links - I am definately booking into NPB Admirials floor once the refurb is done - it looks fab!

Wonderful info, thanks so very much!!:goodvibes

And the link with the photos was just the sort of thing I wanted to see...the new rooms are lovely!
What are the odds of getting one of those, what with the refurb currently going...are AF rooms something that's already been done, currently doing or yet to happen?
