Now that the dust has "settled" a bit.

Hi All:

Now that some time has passed and the dust has settled, is it still possible to enter the parks at rope drop and get most of the major rides done in the first two hours before the lines get too backed up without FP's? I understand that A&E at MK and TS at DHS may be the exceptions.

Yes, at least we were able to get a lot accomplished early mid October. We did what we wanted the first hour or 2 and then had our fastpasses starting about 12 each day.

Yes. I was at WDW the last week of October and first week of November and rope-dropped every day. I did what I wanted and then had my FPs starting after 11 am and into the afternoon. I rode TS at DHS at rope drop one Fri morning and it was do-able. If you are a larger party, good luck staying together in the crowd but for a couple or family prepared for one adult to hold onto one child and ride as such once you are pushed to the entrance, it can work. Do hold onto your child or significant other in the crush.

That appears to be the ONLY way to avoid standing in minor attraction lines these days...

My strategy has been to hit 1-2 of the major attractions during the first hour and then 2-3 of the next tier (not the big headliners but those for which lines usually still build by mid-day) during the 2nd hour. Has worked really well so far (esp. at MK). A&E I'd seen more reasonably wait times at various times other than the first two hours. Seems like everyone who doesn't have a FP heads there immediately so in my last trip it was a much longer line at 10am than it was mid-day.
