yes since it is just mobility you will not need a DAS card.

ive been going to WDW for the past 10 years and everytime i go to stand by line for Star Tours, Peter Pan and some other attractions i am either directed to a fast pass queue or alternatively provided a return time card as a lot of the queues are unable to accommodate the chair or ecv, some queues require me to transfer to a manual chair for stand by lines which is fine, has this process now changed?

I think the only ride at MK that is not wheel chair is space mountain

No, you still get wheelchair return times. That is a separate system from the DAS.

My understanding is that "wheelchair return times" are also electronically attached to your MB/ticket. However these are separate from the DAS program. The DAS is not required to receive a wheelchair return time.

I think I'd prefer being able to assign times myself via MDE or adding kiosks for people that don't want to go to the ride.

I prefer giving their wonky system as little to do as possible!

I said to my husband that I wished we'd have been able to have the DAS return times added at a FP kiosk instead of having to walk to the attraction and get the DAS return, leave for a period of time, and then go back. It wasn't so bad in Fantasyland or Tomorrowland but when we used the DAS via Magic Band at Splash Mountain, it was a bit of a walk back and forth. We tried to go on Country Bear Jamboree while waiting and then the bears broke down!

Like others said, those are wheelchair return times, which is not the same as having a DAS. You don't need to go to Guest Relations to sign up for that like people need to do to get the DAS, just go right into the park and the very few rides that can't fit an ECV you will be told by the ride queue CM what to do/where to go.

I think we all need to remember that the DAS was created to allow access when a standby queue was too much for a disabled person to handle. Since a person can only be in one queue at a time, allowing more than one DAS time at a time would not make sense? I understand the logic behind being allowed to book multiple DAS times, but that's what FP+ is for. The DAS is for waiting in an alternate place for a standby time.
