Would anyone have a recommendation as to what restaurant to eat at on Thanksgiving day? We are considering a Thanksgiving trip in 2012 and would like to get an idea of where to eat when we arrive on Thanksgiving day.
All help is greatly appreciated..

We ate at Teppan Edo for Thanksgiving dinner a couple of years ago and it was wonderful! Obviously, we were not looking for a traditional Thanksgiving meal.

If you would like something close to a traditional thanksgiving meal, then I would suggest the Liberty Tree Tavern in the MK. They serve family style, roast turkey, mash potatoes, stuffing, etc, porkloin among other things. I thought it was excellent. Of course, for a thanksgiving ADR, you will probably want to make the ADR at the soonest time possible.

PS. A hearty thank you to yourself and all the firemen and firewomen everywhere for all that you do!:thumbsup2

Well, in that case go to allears.net, click "Dining", then look at "special event dining" on the left column, then click "Thanksgiving dining" and you will find just about every resort has a thanksgiving dinner. Most if not all offer traditional fare.

Hope that helps!

Thank you Lancer,
It looks like we'll be heading to Whispering Canyons for Thanksgiving with the menu they have it sounds delicious. We have had many meals there and have always enjoyed it seeing that we've always ordered the skillet meal.
You can't go wrong with the food they offer and how much fun it is for all.
DID SOMEONE ASK FOR KETCHUP!!!!
Thanks again...

We had Thanksgiving at Boma this year and it was really really good. They had turkey with all the trimmings as well as some of their regular African faire. Zebra domes were to die for!

We ate at Hollywood & Vine in DHS. It was expensive ($46 pp? $48?? I can't remember exactly), but it was more than the regular dinner buffet price. There are no characters at the dinner buffet.

It is not great atmosphere (loud and busy, not quiet and subdued), but we had a big group (10 of us) and some pickier eaters. So I felt like a buffet was the best option for us. The food was really very good - I was pleasantly surprised. Lots and lots of variety. The had the regular menu items with the addition of Thanksgiving foods like turkey, sweet potatoes, stuffing and some kind of pumpkin dessert. Everything I tried was very tasty, and our whole group was very pleased. Even though it wasn't a strictly traditional Thanksgiving meal, it was fun to have the option of shrimp, seafood alfredo, prime rib, and other goodies for our "feast." And lots of yummy desserts, including soft-serve ice cream and cookies that were a big hit with the kids in our group.

Our hotel (Coronado Springs Resort) was also offering a Thanksgiving Day meal, a fixed menu for $18.95 per person. That seems like a bargain compared to what we paid, but I don't think the picky eaters in our group would have liked it nearly as much. We really had a lovely time at H&V; after dinner we walked through the Osborne lights and it really felt like the holidays!

Via Napoli in Epcot. Delicious food, good service. Plus Epcot is not as crowded on thanksgiving day as MK is.

I tend to not like Thanksgiving food much though so I wouldn't want that on vacation.

We had dinner at Rose and Crown at Epcot for Thanksgiving last week. DD21 and myself had the traditional turkey dinner and included pumpkin cheesecake, I think that was around $28. The meal was awesome and DH was able to get his beloved Shepherds Pie.:flower3:

We ate this Thanksgiving at Whispering Canyon Cafe and loved it. The food was very good. My son loved the salad and kept getting refills. The turkey was very good as was the pork. Enjoy!!

We had dinner at 50s Prime Time this year & had a great meal and a great time.

They offered a traditional turkey meal along with the regular menu & it was very good. Our server Loukili (or, as he proclaimed himself, Zucchini - since no one can ever pronounce Loukili) was the perfect blend of antics & great service.

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
