Now that park hours changed . . .

We booked a PPO breakfast at CRT. The park is now opening at 8 instead of 9. We still want to eat with the princesses, so we aren't cancelling. However, we also wanted to enter the park at 7:45 and try to snap a few photos before the crowds came in.

My question is, if the park opened for guests at 8 when the park opened at 9, what time will the gates be open for the new 8 am official opening? I hope that made sense.

If the gates still open at 8, do PPO reservations (even though they are no longer PPO) have the chance to enter a bit early still? I am a bit worried that the gates won't open until 8, and we'll have to run down Main Street for our 8:05.

The gates will open for all guests at 7:45. You’ll have time to get to your breakfast - will even be able to watch the Welcome Show.

Easywdw just posted a breakdown of ropedrop with an 8am crowd. Turnstiles open at 7:45, so people then walk up Main Street and are stopped for a few minutes at the Hub. Welcome show still happens at 7:55. If anyone has an 8am ADR they are allowed into the courtyard beyond the turnstiles so they can be ahead of the regular guests, but they still can't pass the railroad bridge until 7:45.

Thanks for this info! So, what do we think the chances are for a good castle picture? I'm not naive enough to think they'll be the "no one in them" variety, but will crowds be small still, or do we not even mess with it?
