Now that Lent is over...

How did you do with your "resolutions"? Mine was to not be a crabby old lady, and while I couldn't do anything about the old lady part, I worked very hard to avoid being crabby. I mostly was crabby at the television (baseball games, reality shows, bad sitcoms) and DD only had to call me on being crabby a couple of times.

I plan to try to keep up my resolution.

I gave up Facebook and candy. The Facebook one didn't go well at all. I lasted one week. :sad2: I am happy to say, however, that I did not eat ONE piece of candy (chocolate or otherwise) the entire Lenten season. Easter morning, I sat in bed with my 11 year old and ate jelly beans before I got ready for church! :thumbsup2:rotfl:

We gave up TV and alcohol. And did really well. We didn't miss either one really.

LOL! Maybe I will be brave and try to give up candy next Lenten season. Good for you!

I gave up soft drinks (diet coke being the hard one). I was successful and it was super hard. Surprisingly, I have only had one diet coke since Lent ended. :goodvibes

I gave up the elevator and soda. I only took the elevator three times, I think? two were because I was sick and I knew I couldn't make it up 5 flights of stairs, and the other was when my dad came to visit. He injured his back, so he couldn't take the stairs, and I had to scan him up to my floor. I feel like I did really well, considering I usually give up about halfway through Lent. I didn't have any soda at all, and have only had 2 sodas since Lent was over. :goodvibes

I gave up pasta and had it just once-- when all I had in the house was whole wheat pasta. I decided the man upstairs was okay with me not going out and wasting money when I had food in the house. I didn't really miss it-- it forced me to get creative and try other quick dishes that are much healthier. I did miss my famed baked mac and cheese, but I think now I'll never have it more than once a month (trying to keep pasta to twice, maybe three times a month max).

I gave up the reality show "real housewives of orange county-Miami-new York.

Gave It up for lent & gave it up for good!!! :thumbsup2

One of my friends gave up listening to music. I honestly felt bad for her....

Desserts: Check!
DISboards: 1 day when I had to post frustrations about my van as we were totally lost on the issue and kept being told it wasn't what it was. Other than that, Check!

But I did indulge on Feast days.

I gave up Charlie Sheen for Lent. I think I will be able to do without him the rest of my life.

I went vegan for lent. LOVED IT :lovestruc

Stuck to it all 40 days, but went off it this week to enjoy my final pizza and bacon. Tomorrow I go vegan again :thumbsup2

I gave up watching a certain thing on :surfweb:, it was becoming the death of me:rolleyes1. I'm still sticking to giving it up too!:goodvibes
