Now that free dining has ended....

Sorry ate at my local Mama Regina's and got confused by the wine. LOL Yes it was Mama Melrose ok I should be rolling in the floor because I usually dont drink.

I got great service with the free dining. But I also have the DDE card I pointed out so If I had to pay for anything I order I asked to have them tell me and I had it put on a separate bill using my DDE. I mostly only paid for specialty drinks frozen drinks for DS6 and myself. At the Brown Derby I couldnt deceide between the Celebration and another desert cheesecake something or other, and was surprised when I received my DDE card back after I paid and a doggie bag to go with the most lucious cheesecake dessert complete with a fork and napkin for me and a container 1/2 full of gummy snakes for my DS6. These were not on the bill. Ok I do tend to overtip this was before she saw the tip amount. I usually get great service and use my thank you very much and pleases as I have taught my children to do.

We were onsite for 12 days at the beginning of October. The ADRs we made in advance were not much harder to get than for previous trips. Changing plans onsite was kind of a hassle, especially for popular restaurants like Le Cellier. The easiest ones to get were signature service like CG, Brown Derby, and Coral Reef. The servers we talked to ALL said they've been slammed since "free dining" started. The good ones are up selling expensive items like surf-n-turf to maximize their tips. Most people aren't leaving extra. It's a shame.

i wonder how much of the problem is due to those who double book and don't cancel adrs,,,are the places now really packed?
