Nice shots.

These beasts should be the official bird of the Southeast US. I think I see more of them than any other bird! They may not be too pretty, but they do a nice public service down here in SW FL by keeping our roads clean. :rolleyes1

The other day I came across a flock of them having a skunk lunch. I wanted to go grab my camera to take some shots, but I then realized that I just could not handle the smell to get close enough. :rotfl2:

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: i just saw a program about that place and that aquarium looks fantastic, have any of the kelp bed exhibit?

Yeah, they've got a kelp forest exhibit that's three stories tall and has a simulated wave machine, as kelp needs constant agitation to survive. Here's a pic of the tank, from the 2nd floor. It's not the greatest as the glass in this exhibit is really thick.

Thanks for the comment! Unfortunately, this particular vulture was on his way to meet up with his buddies who were....feasting on the cute little raccoon in my post- I didn't know if the pictures I got from the feeding frenzy would be too gross or upsetting for the discussion board- but I definitely used my telephoto lens so I wouldn't have to smell the poor guy.

WOW!!! I love the underwater shots! My brother scuba dives & I'm always bugging him to take a camera down, but he says its nothing but sand, rocks & lobsters off of Cape Cod, MA.

I told him we should rent a house boat in the Carribbean as a vacation some time so he can do some real diving & the rest of us can jetski in warm water for a change. :rotfl:
