now that it's below freezing here, the spiders are not around so much so i changed going into the barn that is falling down behind my house...a 90+ yr old woman owns it and her husband was a pro photographer but didn't see any ancient photo equipment, just dusty old junk like this. oh well

my MIL made me some whiskey soup on saturday (a chinese soup with various fungi, ginseng, ginger, and... a little bit of whiskey). after i had finished the soup i had eaten all of the other ginger slices when i found this. it was obviously hidden - it was hiding on the bottom of my bowl. my MIL thought i was weird for taking a photo of it.

I don't often get to take many pictures outside of the Disney environment (it's almost the only place we go each year) but this was taken in the mountains of NC last summer.

Indoor waterpark at the hotel (Great Wolf Lodge), 1k gallon bucket of water dumps every 5 minutes. Yes it's all heated during the winter.

Looking through 3 300+ year old windows so I guess it's like looking through 900+ years?

My 5 year old takes a walk back in time.

He was fascinated with the brass model of the city at the visitor's center as well.
