NOW post and share your digital pics!! Great photos inside:)

I take a lot of pictures with our digital camera, like 200 at a time. I find the rechargeables nimH, especially the 2500's work great, they can be charged in less than 1 hour, assuming you pick up a 1 hour charger, also keep a few sets around and they'll last for well over a year using them all the time too. There is a 15 minute battery set as well as charger but those have to be only the 15 minute batteries in that charger. All others will work in the 1 hour charger. I would need to take out a 2nd mortgage to pay for regular batteries! haha :rotfl2:

Hi makinorlando, thanks for the kind words. Yup this lens is a close up lens, made for shooting things like plants, flowers, bugs and also portraits. This lens is incredibly sharp, the only thing is the focus can be slow in low light situations. here is a link to my gallery using this lens

That's a beautiful shot We-Luv-Disney, I also have 100mm macro lens, and is also one of my favorites. Here's a couple shots from it. The one with the bee and spider was a tough one as a brezze picked.

Your photos are beautiful. I guess I will be saving my pennies for one of those lenses!!!

dcg0317, That is a great shot with the bee!

I am still learning all the features of the new camera. Here is a photo I took using the macro:

Thanks handicap18 and Tuffcookie, macro photography is alot of fun. Nice shot Tuffcookie.

I was outside with our dogs and my neighbor's dogs, and was trying to take photos of them all.. well, I got lots of butts and tails, but did come up with this one really good pic of Bam Bam, the neighbor's puppy. He loves to play with my two dogs, especially my Yorkie Maia. I just think he is adorable!

Oh, going for the cute puppy pictures, are we? Well. Alright. I'll see your adorable bulldog and raise you one feisty ****-a-poo...my in-law's pooch, Murphy. Taken over Thanksgiving with my Canon A95.

dcg0317, We-Luv-Disney, about how close are you to the subjects in those macros? Are you right there, an inch to a few, or are they clopped or teloscopic some? Great pictures.

is that the web censor wouldn't let the name of the breed be printed! Too naughty?

Let me try this: cockapoo! :lmao:

A little leftover from Valentine's Day: one of the roses I gave my wife
 She loves pink. And I love her.

iso 1600, and yes, that's from my new Pentax DL. I love THAT, too (but I love my wife more...)

SMOOOOOOOOTH colours! Virtually no noise whatsoever (it seems to be even better than my 10D ISO1600, let alone my 300D)!!! Great picture too!!!

Thank you!

I gotta say: I never cease to be amazed at what that Pentax comes up with.

I'm hoping to take it out for a spin this weekend and capture a wider range of pictures ... :cool2: I'm getting a little weary of flowers and statues.
:crazy2:

Thanks Dan, with the Canon 100mm macro lens I belive the minimum focus distance is 12 inches, so yes you are pretty close to the subject.

and DAH, I left my new camera at home. Luckily I had thrown my little HP camera (which takes a respectable picture) in my bag - but had no memory. Bought memory at the Polynesian, and disposable for back up (in case the battery wasn't charged)... and headed for the restaurant....

Here is a picture of Tara and Lilo,

We had a good time at breakfast, but decided when we got over to MK that it was better left to the visitors today (:crowded: )

Perth, Western Australia - at night.
Taken using 35mm Canon Rebel with 24mm(?) Sigma lens on a tripod.

That is beautiful. I really want to experiment with taking night time photos!
